Posted in pick tracker too ...

Yikes. Pels headed nowhere fast. Zion’s never gonna stay healthy.

I’d honestly showcase and trade him for a bounty as soon as possible. Looks like they’re going the opposite direction, going to throw away picks that I’d guess will become gold for Portland.

Now trade Zion to NY Knicks for Randle and picks.

Really nice trade for Indy. Haliburton, Duarte, and this year's pick should be a solid core to build around. Plus I'm sure they're not done making moves with Turner and Brogdon still on the block.

They really traded Hali to get swept in the first round in the absolute best-case scenario.

This is just unbelievable. Yes, even for the Kangz.

Halliburton is who I wanted instead of PW in that draft. But now I'm happy with Ball and Ayo.

why so much hate for the kings trade? yes they traded a nice player, but he was a bit redundant with fox and mitchel and if healthy Sabonis is definitely the best player in the deal.

The Kings seemed rather screwed with Fox and Halliburton overlapping so much. One had to go, and Fox wasn't getting some like Sabonis, who's young and could have a strong next six or eight years. I like that the trade filled holes and balanced both teams out.

Can't believe they vetoed the Kings moving to Seattle for this kind of mismanagement.

This most positive thing I can say is that at least it's not as bad as drafting Bagley over Doncic.

I get it - but they traded (arguably) their best PG because they couldn’t trade the one they overpaid. Just admitting defeat. Might work for them - but I get why fans are posed

Sabonis is only 25 years old, too. It's not as if he's ready to hit the veteran wall. I mean, Haliburton is a good young talent, there's no denying that. But it's not as if he was carrying the Kings on his back, he's not that level of player. And Sabonis can play a bit as well. Seems like a good trade for both sides to me.

Seems likely Indy will buy out Tristan Thompson. Would be a decent get for us

Yes, he would be. What the doctor ordered, if not for a complete fix at least for a partial one.

People love potential. Kings also got rid of Hield's bad contract without giving up any of their draft picks if that matters.

Another point - Fox is having a way down year for sure, but wondering if there's any reason to believe that's permanent?

I could be dead wrong because I haven't watched Hali play much, but I'd theorize a lot of the strong reaction here is because this board has a stronger emotional attachment to him vs. most players since he's "the one that got away."

Don't like the trade at all for SAC, but that's what they do. Bad trades. Hali has some pretty damn good numbers for a 2-year guard; projects very well. Kings just dumped their two best 3P shooters. It's a 3P league.

I presume they're going to give away Bagley and try to make Fox/Mitchell work. I like Sabonis, but that's a team with no promise.

You've got to think Tristan Thompson is going to want a buyout from the Pacers. I'm not sure if they'll give it to him though. They're pretty thin up front and Turner is out for a while. Because they're a small market, Pacers' ownership has an added emphasis on always fielding a competitive team even when they're not a playoff team.

Davion Mitchell's ascension probably made Haliburton more expendable in their eyes. Although they could've easily moved Hali to SG and had one of the best young backcourts in the league. So in essence they're betting on Davion to become a better player than Hali while also overvaluing Sabonis.

Either way Pacer fans should be more than pleased with this move.
