If Walker is good enough to make his team meaningfully better while earning $1.5 million per year, he's an extraordinary bargain. Not many guys who make $10 million can do that, except for some studs on rookie contacts.

We don't need him to make the Sixers meaningfully better. We just need him to make them 1.5 games better... which is the distance that separates us from them in the standings. Walker isn't a star, but he is a pretty reliable double-figure scorer. It's a move that helps their depth and gives them extra scoring when they're going through one of their injury patches.

Yeah! See, you get it.

Just need him to give them just a little 'nudge'.

Maybe he'll give the Sixers an energy boost in a similar way that Patrick Beverley did for the Bulls two years ago...?

What's the point of signing a 6'1' guard? The Bulls already have Giddey, Lonzo, Ayo, White, Jones and Carter at the guard spots.

What if one of those guards gets injured? Billy can't have a 5 guard line-up then...

LOL- I guessed it was a tiny guard when I read the assist number.

BTW the Windy City Bulls are 1-10 in their last 11, mostly huge blowouts.

These morons can’t even field a competent G-League team. Maybe they didn’t get the memo that you don’t get lottery picks in the G-League. It’s a last place offense, which is weird for a small team. There are no normal bigs on the roster; mostly sub-6’3 chuckers.

I don't see correlations between a 2-way spot, and the main roster. Simply hoping to find a gem, regardless of position

The chances of him being a gem are slim and even if he makes it to the NBA roster he'll be on a roster that's loaded with guards. I bet he gets very little time, if any at all.

The team needs bigs. Why not try to find a "gem" that is one?

The entire point of the 2-way slot is that the player can play for the actual Bulls team.
If you have no intention of playing the guy on the NBA roster, roster him in the G-League.

We never played Sanogo, at probably, our thinnest position. So I can't see us doing it now. Still, I don't get the signing.

The team isn't really trying to win basketball games this year, so I don't really see any point worrying about his fit with the current roster.

We played Sanogo as an injury reserve for center, which is in line with how teams use 2-ways. Not in the healthy rotation, but teams are never 100% healthy. Sanogo has played games this season & last season as the IR center when one of Vuc or Drummond/Smith are unavailable.

2-way is generally used as an IR and finding hidden undrafted talent. But you can't find that you have talent if the 2-way never plays...which will be the case with our 8th point guard.

Lu Dort was considered an excellent use of the 2-way to find undrafted talent by OKC. Lu Dort played in his first year as a 2-way, 36 games and 20 mpg. He got some actual time to show he was an NBA player and eventually starter.

Team will be bad no matter what we do with 2-ways, but on a minor level it's a dumb move. It's inconsequential but it doesn't mean AK is running a good FO.

Portis suspended for 25 games for - as all professional athletes do - accidentally taking a banned pain killer.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.
