If Sexton had Young's passing ability, I would be higher on him. Maybe he can get better at it in the pros. I like how he attacks the paint more than Young though (meaning he doesn't settle for too many 3s). He is very good near the basket and he utilizes some post up moves.

I have to agree. His hands were straight up, and his team was up before he fouled out. The college game used to be so much more physical, now they're calling the most ticky tack fouls.

At #9 do you take Trae? Or someone else?

I'd probably gamble on Miles or even Knox. Obviously they have large flaws as star prospects, they wouldn't projected mid-1st round otherwise.

But if we're gambling for finding a real sleeper like Kawhi or Mitchell, Miles both in terms of personality and physicals has more in common with those guys. Butler also comes to mind.

But Young is definitely BPA at that point...he's a safer pick.
Just not sure why we'd want a safe pick this early into our rebuild.

Fred seems to like to play inside out with Lopez, so if he uses Bamba in the same way, I see him looking good with Lauri either slashing to the basket or being open for the 3. Bamba to me looks like a guy who can blossom like Capela on offense once other guys are breaking down the defense and being a 3 pt threat. I can see Bamba being good with screen and rolls too or going one on one in the paint against a shorter defender. Then with his defense, Bamba can provide the rim protection when guys get beat and he can allow pesky defenders like Dunn and Nwaba to gamble for steals more.

I don't see Bamba as a starter in Year 1. He needs to put on muscle weight and work on his low post game. Maybe develop a hook or jump hook with either hand. He has great potential. I see him as a 5th option offensively. Put backs, alley-oops, an occasional jump shot to keep teams honest. He could be a perfect compliment to Lauri who seems to gravitate to the outside game. We have no shortage of shooters. Put 20 pounds of muscle on Bamba and he could become a very good rebounder, just on length alone. I think he'd benefit with another year in College. But perhaps not in Shaka Smart's system. I had high hopes when Shaka came down here to Austin. But he has underperformed to expectations. When the going got tough today his wings were shooting air balls and missing free throws. Kerwin Roach played the game of his life. But the other wings are stiffs for the most part.

If we end up picking 10th or 11th then I'm almost willing to really roll the dice and pick Mitchell Robinson, just on measurables. Daniel Gafford isn't ready physically. I hope he stays at Arkansas another year. I'm just not sold on Knox or Miles Bridges. Not with our pick. Knox with the Pelican's pick and I'm on board.

Gafford looks interesting...on one hand, he looks like a guy that brings to you what Deandre Jordan provides, but on the other hand, will he look as good or better against more physicality and height in the pros?

Miles Bridges scares me only because of his consistency, but when he is good, he is really good. Has the frame and athleticism to be a solid player in the league

Just about everyone in college is inconsistent though. Look at the game number one pick Ayton had yesterday.

My only concern, and it's a minor one with Miles, is his height and length. At 6-7, he'll be a touch short in the NBA for the 3 spot, and way too short for the 4.

Both Bridges will probably be solid contributors. I like Miles athleticism and bulk and I like Mikal's length. Miles will just be one of those grimey style MSU players who does everything. I'm still pissed we are drafting so far back and will continue to be. I really wanted JJJ dude is a specimen out there.

Miles Bridges length is probably my biggest concern, that's something I'd prefer my wings to have. But I do like what Bridges can bring to a basketball team.

Meanwhile, JJJ played just 18 min and had 6/4 with a pair of blocks. Is he really a top 6 pick?

I don't see how Mikal is remotely in the same league as Miles. The better Bridges seems obvious at this point.
