I don't know Sabonis for Hali while shedding Yields contract isn't the worst trade ever. Sabonis is likely better than Hali, in the fact that it is a harder position to get production for. There are a lot of guards out there, Sac had too many, we have too many etc... If I am building a team from scratch I likely take Hali but when you have Mitchel and Fox... Sabonis makes some sense.

Poor Larry Nance, no one wants the guy. Bulls didn't want him and wanted DJJ instead, now Portland sends him straight to hell in NO. I guess the plus is he want have to worry about giving up playing time to Zion anytime soon.

Yeah I like it. It will upset Scottie Pippen but if Larsa still has a place here in Chicago it will be a good hookup place for them.

To your point, Sabonis has the 5th highest VORP his year of any forward, behind Giannis, LBJ, Butler, and Durant, while Haliburton is #12 among guards. On the other hand, #12 is damn good for a 21 year old! In short, each team gave up significant value.

Suns playing pathetic at both ends of the floor vs Philly - this is what happens in a back-to-back. the quality of the play worsens - tired legs and defense looks far far worse by Suns.

Nets getting spanked on TNT by Boston. About to be 9 Ls in a row and the 8th spot. They’re missing a lot of guys obviously.

I feel like they’re a preview of what our team will look like in several weeks with all the injuries.

Rough couple weeks, but at least we aren’t the Nets. Will be 9 losses in a row and were down 28-2 against the Celtics tonight

New York basketball has had a rough year, NGL. Chicago has plenty to complain about but to see both NY teams disintegrate like this.

Come to think of it, LA is pretty ugly too.

Remember how often he would kill us on the offensive boards... Still gives me nightmares.

If the Lakers beat the Bucks tonight we back in 2nd

Just got to hold strong

For as much as we feel horrible about our own struggles no other team in the east been so great that they past us and take a considerable lead on us in the East.

We really need to win tomorrow though

Honestly the Eastern Conference is just Rocky vs Apollo Creed... Both men taking incredible damage but it won't be decided until the end of the 12th round.

worse case scenario we are in the play in due to our injuries. Should be healthy by that time and will handle any team in that grouping, unless Brooklyn is also healthy and down there with us. Then its just about the first round match up, might be vs the cavs or raps who we are better than.

All i'm hoping for now is no one else in the East gets that much better with trades. I'm glad Sabonis is going to the hell hole that is Sacramento instead of a rival. I hope the Sixers and the Nets remain untouched. Especially, I hope no one in the league trades for Simmons because that's an easy way for PHI to get better without doing **** since they're gonna be pretty much expelling dead weight

Sloan might need to take back his degree if he refuses to get a Simmons deal done.

I think of our puncher’s chance window, and how much I think AK should go for it...and then I look over and shake my head at wtf ever is going on in Philadelphia, and the wasting of Joel Embiid’s prime in a wide open league. Though Embiid had an awful Lavine-esque end of game shot selection 3 vs PHX tonight.

The Bulls being in the play-in would most likely result in a 1st round exit as we tend to underperform against the better teams. And I don’t think I’d pick the Bulls in a 7 game series—sans home court—against Philly, Miami, Brooklyn, or Milwaukee. Which are the four most likely teams to end up at the top of the standings.

People love potential. Kings also got rid of Hield's bad contract without giving up any of their draft picks if that matters.

Potential? I'd take Hali over Sabonis right now.

Hali is a tall two-way guard who can really shoot it. Not just spot-up, his pull-up game is also already much better than I ever thought it could be. He's been the best Kings guards this season and it hasn't been close. I'm not trading him for Sabonis, who is an extremely questionable fit next to Fox on offense (both can't shoot) and defense (Fox is bad, Sabonis is among the worst defenders at his position). Don’t get me wrong, Sabonis is probably the better player right now. But to me even that is pretty close. When you consider the team building aspect…I take Hali all day, every day.

This Pacers/Kings trade has me perplexed. Great for Indy no matter what. But when I look at it from the Kings side, one time I’ll hate it and the next time I’ll think it makes a lot of sense. And I keep going back and forth.

I love Hali. I had him as the #4 prospect in his class, wanted him at #4, and his career to date looks very promising and he appears to be a terrific person and leader as well. So I can see why people would be critical of dealing him.

In the other hand, we all knew since draft night Sacto was going to trade one of their 3 point guards to balance out the roster. And getting a young Allstar like Sabo in return while keeping all your picks is a pretty darn good result.

I don’t know. I hope it works out for Sacto. I like a lot of their players and their fans deserve better than they get.

What do you guys think the Lakers are gonna do?

They're essentially a play-in team now, a few games under .500. That Westbrook trade really screwed them up. They're for the most part healthy too so it's not like they have injuries to blame (unless you count on Kenrick Nunn to turn the season around).

Nobody's touching that Westbrook contract so they're stuck with that, and they don't really have any other assets to improve. THT is their best trade asset and you're not gonna get much for him. Their path forward is probably to blow it up, but then again are you really gonna trade LeBron and AD?

What a mess.
