What's the point of trading now when you don't know if your guy is going to be there? Memphis, however, have different motivation. They must be highly motivated now because they need to save some money. We, on the other hand, do not have to do **** because our target might happen to be there at 7. Btw, I have not heard of anything connecting the Bulls to Luca, which I find to be strange. Is he even a consideration? I remember Pax saying how we need sizes and athleticism on the wing with the way the league is going. Is it why Doncic is not in the picture?

I think Bulls wants 1 of Luka, JJJ, Bamba. If they are at 4 they are guaranteed one of them. At 7 most likely all of them are gone. MEM won't trade from 4 if LUka is there.

It just shocks the heck out of me that we haven't heard one peep about any possible interest in JJJ from the Bulls. It's bizarre. I mean, he isn't at the very top of my list but given how popular of a commodity he seems to be, you would think that there would be at least some buzz.

BOTH ? Or either . Getting 4 from Memphis without giving up 7 means giving up 22, Portis and an unprotected future 1st, gotta believe . Plsus Absorbing Parsons.

Yeah why not?

Gotta be better than Curry and Chandler . :)

I would definitely look for that option without giving up our own #7. Give them anyone except Lauri and give them #22 plus future #1 pick (top 3 or 5 protected) while taking on Parson's contract.

I hope Memphis would be willing to take #7+Valentine+Grant for #4.

Really don't want Parsons contract.

Sounds like Memphis is only trading down if Doncic isn't available. I think Chicago believes Dallas will take Bamba so they're trying to at least get to 4, or maybe 5 if Memphis decides to stay at 4 anyway and not select Bamba.

Or you could replace Bamba for Jackson here, who knows.

Doesn't Dallas have the 5th pick? At worst we'd have to trade with Memphis. I guess it all really depends on what Atlanta does - Doncic or JJJ. Bagley is going to the Kings

Basically, if Atlanta takes Jackson it seems from reports that Memphis is taking Doncic and running home. So, Chicago would have to get to 5 to take Bamba. Unless of course, Dallas wants to stand pat.

Unless we're getting to 3, Bulls fans should be hoping that Atlanta takes Doncic, so that we could possibly trade up for Bamba or Jackson.

He's hindering their team from making moves, especially with Conley's 30 million dollar yearly salary

They probably won't do a deal without Parsons going

Either one lol. Just get it done.

I think 2 years from now people are gunna look back on this and say they would have given up a lot more to have a chance at Bamba.

Maybe this isn't the best place to post this, but if we draft Bamba, I strongly want to keep Lopez around (at least for the remainder of his contract). I think he is the perfect mentor for him and just a great vet to keep around in general.

First off, I think it would be a disservice to Bamba to throw him into the fire against the elite centers of the NBA until he is physically ready to not get abused. Going against Lopez in practice will show him how much work he needs to do in the weight room.

I would expect Lopez to be helpful and supportive the way he was with Lauri and Porzingis. Lopez is sort of the perfect age. If he was younger he might see him as more of a challenger and not be looking to be so helpful. If he was a lot older, he probably wouldn't have the physical ability to push Bamba and show him how hard he is going to need to work.

While Bamba should eventually have many advantages over Lopez, they have some similarities being long, defensive minded centers. Therefore, the knowledge and tips/tricks that have allowed Lopez to become a pretty decent starting center should be translatable to a longer, more athletic specimen.

It's all about the money, I would be worried if my player would keep referring to money as motor. Where is the desire to play ball??

With Shroder in doubt, Atlanta will need a floor leader. Doncic as point forward makes total sense. They've been rumored to love JJJ for a long time and also Young. I don't think they'll take Bamba.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me. He seems to have that kind of charisma. I would be simply elated if we somehow managed to get Bamba. I think he is the perfect blend between upside potential and safe haven. That's not to say that he's bust proof. I just think that if he is going to be a bust, we will know before it's time to pay him. And if he is going to be a superstar caliber player, then we got exactly what we needed to put next to Lauri.

I don't think he can be a complete bust. Worst case scenario with him is he is a great rebounder, defender, rim protector and a nice fit next to Lauri.

Bamba's reading and reacting to defense is probably one of his biggest weaknesses. Not knowing when or not to pass or shoot, not the most desicive with the ball in his hands.
