News is an update lol.

That is true, which may indicate the Bulls feel Gasol may want to come to CHI along with Melo. So they can meet with Gasol and ask him to help encourage Melo to decide on CHI.

They all will be in LA tomorrow.......

If he takes 5/110 he's an imbecile. The whole reason to go to that dysfunctional franchise is the money.

Yes and no. That's still more guaranteed money than the Bulls can offer by quite a bit, but it does carve out a little extra space for Phil to manuever. Sort of a have your pie and eat it too compromise, where the pie is just a little smaller. Or something.
Can I borrow a feeling?

Why else would he go back to NY? There roster looks like a d league team. If he indeed goes back it will be about money.

no but the money was the weight that tips the scale. Then why schedule any of these meet and greet no team besides the Knicks could offer the 5th year full max.

But does that mean Taj gets moved along after he was a part of the pitch and rumors were Carmelo wanted the Bulls to keep Taj? I'm almost to the point personally were I say screw the sign and trade. Amnesty Boozer trade Snell, Dunleavy and the non guaranteed deals and sign him through cap space and make the Knicks fans and Phil choke on it.
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Meh b & b are pretty informed but they would rather do shock radio, but honestly Bernstien actually does do research. It is just tiresome listening to his elitism. Boers has connections but he cares so little, and is the highest paid sports radio jock in the industry. They follow a Howard stern model just get listeners love or hate you. The score is better than espn because they have freedom. That being said the game might establish itself they all suck honestly but if listening to the radio you need ratings one way or another. Mike and Mike are pros and have soooooo little content. Holmes is way better than jhood though no doubt.

I meant Mulley and Hannley seem ill informed.

With B&B, they just like to act like jag offs and it seems they purposely only allow callers on that don't know anything just so they can trash them. Elitism is a good word to describe them.

I can't stand J Hood. Now that's definitely a dude that has no clue what he's talking about.

Yeah b&b absolutely do that because it is good for ratings. Mullet and Hanley ugh are awful. They wake up drunk and do their thing.

I don't know that I would say that he's ALL about the money. His family could very well factor into things as well. But to a large extent, yeah, I would feel as though it was heavily dependent on the money. And I'd be damned if I would be mad at him for that.

I'm calm and not overreacting. There was discussion in one of these threads yesterday that it would be clear today how the bulls felt about getting Melo and this gasol news should make it pretty clear.

Bulls are doing the right thing, you cant sit and wait for Melo regardless of what happened yesterday

the man still had 4 teams courting him and a 129 million reasons to stay with New York

This, too. Phil Jackson will try to tell Carmelo he will build a champion around him. The Bulls have a contender in the East with Rose, Noah, and Carmelo day one.

Iell lets hope thats not just a stupid coincidence and GarPax are out there playing chess not checkers.

This would be a brilliant move by the way. Using Gasols interest to basically get another player, who is not even a a Bull mind you, to recruit Melo to CHI for us. As a bonus we get teh best backup big in the NBA on a discount.

I will forever want to give Pax massages with happy endings if he pulled that off

Call me when it actually happens. Nobody knows what the hell is going on and just trying make a story. The only person that knows where Melo is going is Melo.

The Bulls going to visit Gasol story come out, so Mark Stein decided speculate why that is. Then K.C Johnson who can't think for himself just backed Stein's story.

Whatever he signs with for the Knicks, it sure means he wasn't about winning.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

dont bother going to the knicks board, was there for a day... its just bitter fans circle jerking, bashing other franchises other than their own( even tho there's is near one of the worst positions as of now), believing that their culture is going to change overnight now that phil is here.

Most of their members want atleast 5 firsts+mirotic+McD, and they think are doing us a favor by taking JR

NBA made a mistake with their salary rules

How do you promote competitive balance when teams cant even offer the same amount to each player
