Y'know what they say about today's NBA: "It's a big dominated league so we need more bigs."

Is there any possible way we could pull off a massive blockbuster trade involving ad and jb to the bulls while sending out wcj Lavine Portis and a boatload of unprotected picks ? What's a realistic trade on this guys ......also what coaches would you guys be looking at to replace Hoiberg if this where to get pulled off

Portis, WCJ, and a first or two. Dont think the Pelicans would accept that deal though.

I'm leaning toward pump-n-dumps of Parker and Portis. I think keeping either past this season will prove a bad investment. Obviously depends on return, but a mid-1st for either would be an adequate return IMO.

Ok. Came up with better idea. Trade Lavine straight up for Butler which is fair value considering Lavine played like a star in preseason.
Offer L.Markk, WCJ, 2019 unprotected, Lopez for AD which should be the best offer. Now, you got Dunn-Valentine-Butler-Portis-AD which should make the 2nd round and possibly ECF.

I wouldn't give up Lauri for ad straight up swap if I had the choice and I know most here would but I think he has massive potential to be a superstar and is really young .....I would do Lavine for butler though but I doubt the wolves take that deal

Lauri also can be a very good player if he has the offense run through him he might become a full blown superstar and that's not something I willing to give up at such a young age plus the point is to pair him up with a good core not trade him away to get the other players

Dude.

Anthony Davis is 25. TWENTY FIVE. He's the best two way big in the game by a very long shot. He can switch onto guards and centers. He and Giannis are going to battle for years to come as to who is the #1 player in the league. He's not even in his prime yet, and his success is a combo of skill and athleticism. He will age well.

I hope I eat crow here, but Davis' ceiling is WAY higher than Lauri's. Lauri projects as a star. Davis projects as a HoF.

I factor in opportunity cost. You could look at it to say, would I prefer to keep Lauri and use AD money to land a max FA...Alternatively, you might say, we're likely going to lose Bobby because we can't start him...but you could start Bobby next to AD.

I feel Lauri will be a better player I have since I first saw him ....it's not a popular opinion but it's what I see even though ad is awesome I feel he doesn't translate his stats into wins

Dont get me wrong. I am one of the biggest Lauri fan out there and think possibly he is Dirk 2.0. But AD is becoming all time great bigs. I just dont see Lauri becoming MVP candidate level. But Jimmy Butler top 15 status, sure. In fact, I would trade everything for AD if he intends to re-sign for the max. MVP under 25 doesnt grow on trees.

unless we are Talking Giannis, you take AD all the time. Not to Mention that AD will attract more stars to sign here. If Pax can get AD for Lauri swap the trade would have been made already.

Can't believe we have people openly wanting Butler back on the Bulls. I wish him success, but not here. Learn to let go of the past guys. Plus it will never happen.
