Let the Pace/Nagy firing watch begin.

Is it too late to see some progress in Trubisky?

once again, in the long run it's better for us to collapse and lose out than it is to put together a mirage of a mediocre season. not only does it improve the draft position, but it lets people stop fighting about which individual person needs to get fired and makes clear that cleaning house is almost certainly for the best

Burrow and Watson have no problem moving the ball with terrible o-lines.
There's a reason why QB's are by far the highest paid position.
Burrow just broke his leg and Watson struggled hard (he is a better QB than Trubisky) as he was running for his life and took a lot of hard hits. Those teams also did not win. So I don't think that's a fair assessment at all.

Roquan Smith and Jaylon Johnson are the only two young defensive players I wouldn't think about moving.
Nope. The defense hasn't been the same since Fangio left - nothing close to what they were at their peak.
With all the talk about the offense, Rodgers basically shredded them easily.
Before, the path to the SB was actually getting some competent QB play, now I'm not sure you have a defense that's better than league average.
Without Hicks/Goldman it's tough.
I point at Pagano. He was a better HC than DC and he was awful at that. If the Bears had a league average offense, Pagano would be what people would be arguing about. All the teams that beat the Packers are teams that blitz them. So what does Pagano do? Sit back.

Sat back with three dlineman rushing.
What a joke.

Of course they won’t. They’ll win some pointless game or 2 that takes us out of QB draft position.

The defense quit and Mitch ain't winning games on his own. The wheels have fallen off. 5-11 is realistic.

At this point, the Bears should just lose out. Yea, they are still in the playoff hunt. But really? They will just get wiped out in the first game if by some miracle they actually make the playoffs. They need talent in the draft. I would trade some of their defensive studs to get more picks in the draft. They need to rebuild

Missing out on a QB in this draft would suck but not the end of the world. OL should be the priority, especially if all of the top tier QB are gone. With that said, I simply do not want Pace making those picks, because he is blind for offensive talent.
Between the Cubs and the Bears, this has NOT been a fun year for me as a pro sports fan. I also don't see the Bulls or the Blackhawks doing much either, so Chicago sports=boring to me.

The problem is though, we have coaches who want to win to save their jobs at this point. And a QB who wants to prove he is worth another contract somewhere else. Then again they're doing a pretty good job losing out right now.
Ok, we are in good hands.

2nd game this year the Packers didn't have to wash Rodgers uniform after the game.
If they don't win the NFC it will be shocking at this point
Mahomes vs Rodgers Super Bowl - bring it on and Go Chiefs!!!!

Packers took it personally after the big hit our dback laid on their WR. I knew they were gonna do everything they could to run up the score after that.
I like Nagy. Seems like a good guy. But hes gotta go within the 30 minutes after firing Pace.

Re: OT Bears 2019/20 season
I would like this team to lose out, but it just isn't likely.
Detroit
Houston
Minnesota
Jacksonville
Green Bay
That's a pretty manageable schedule. I think Detroit and Jacksonville are pretty likely to be wins. Houston and Minnesota could go either way.
Unfortunately this will likely end around an 8-8 season.

I could see them losing every one of those games. MN has been playing better as of late. GB and HOU are sure losses. They manage to beat either DET or JA, but I wouldn't bet on either.

I agree with people saying to trade off the veteran defensive players. Specifically Fuller, Mack, Hicks. You will likely still get a 2nd or 3rd for those guys.
I think you keep Roquan, Jackson is still young, Goldman is still young, and obviously Johnson.

If you could get 2nds or 3rds for those guys, you should be all over trading all the vet players and starting a full rebuild. You are awful now and won't rebuild this offense any time soon.

I mean, sure they could lose, but they'll be the betting favorites in the Lions and Jaguars game.
Cook looks ok, but had a pretty scary injury concern yesterday. I wonder if they start thinking about holding him out, or lessening his workload in a year that means nothing. Probably not, but worth noting. Could make that Minnesota game a win for the Bears too.
