We should be thinking about guys that are about to become the next Dame. Not guys that on the way down. Especially with guys like Ayo, Coby, Zo, and Pat W.

The Knicks are in full meltdown mode after blowing a 28 point lead last night in another embarrassing loss. Any pieces there worth looking at in the off season?

IMO, the Knicks success last season was tied to 4 things: Randle in a DD role, worked pretty well, Rose carried the bench, and with him going down, they started freefalling this season, and IMO losing Bullock, who is a very good 3-d wing and replacing him with Fournier proved costly. Noel played better last season than Robinson is this year.

I love Noel, but he's got chronic knee issues. IMO, they should unload Randle, but if they keep him, I'd try for Toppin. If we trade Coby elsewhere, I'd take a buy-low swing on Quickley. Sounds like they would literally give Reddish away.

I don't think we can make it work with keeping LaVine and DDR and the other needed depth pieces while going after Dame. Dame would help this team and make them better.
this isn't about PGs or Cs or PFs... more about assembling the most talent and adding a Lillard would make this team very talented.

The heck we need Dame for when we have Lonzo, Alex, Ayo, Zach & Coby?

Our guard play is loaded with talent and productivity. Dame isn't stopping anyone.

We don't need more scoring guards. BTW this team is already extremely talented & they have yet to fully gel.

Our window is now- guys who were once great but on the way down and are looking to win a ring before their careers are over are the perfect fit for a team like us. They don't need a lot of minutes or a lot of shots or a lot of money. They just want to be part of a winning team. The Warriors got guys like Barbosa, Livingston, and David West that made their bench formidable.

TT is a start in that direction. This offseason maybe we can pick up a good stretch 4 with some miles left on the tread- would be perfect.

AK tried to trade for Mitchell Robinson at the deadline.

Gotta wonder what low ball offer he started with :D

His contract is only $1.8M per, but he is UFA after this season so likely just a half season rental.

It was probably a Tony Bradley swap.

Whatever it was, it wasn't enough. That said, probably included POR 1st. MRob is a good, but not great player who is gonna be looking for a lot more $ as a RFA. He is also a non-durable guy, that would give me pause to sign a guy like that to $15+M per year.

Some interesting stretch 4 or 5 names already mentioned in prior threads who might be made available depending on team situation:

1. Nick Claxton - 5
2. Rui Hachimura - 4
3. Jonathan Isaac - 4

The problem is the same one we faced this season...the likely uncertainty of the quality of Pat next season. I doubt the FO uses assets or cap space for someone who'll supplant Pat, which is unfortunate.

No thanks to Isaac's nutty ass. Has he even played the last few years?

There's no chance we'd have any interest in Isaac. He's been taking 2 years to recover from his ACL, Magic management have hinted there's other things wrong with his body other than the knee, he's owed long term $18M per year which would destroy our lux tax, and he's strongly anti-vacc and we don't need another Kyrie situation.

He's too busy trying to start off his career as an "author"

I like Isaac but he’s always hurt.

Been saying this for a while now.

We will probably draft Bronny late first round even second round and then we will finally have LeBron on our roster at the age of like 40 lol.. A far cry from 2010 free agency...

To be fair that was my assessment when GarPax were in charge.
