We could always add a wing at #22 specially with player like Troy Brown, Chandler Hutchison, or Keita Bates-Diop. I'm pretty sure the Bulls will make the right selection.

Which is all great news since it means MPJ may only need to dissuade Orlando from drafting him to fall to the Bulls.

I never understood why we think MPJ won’t fall to us. Teams that could use him are too high to justify it. I never thought twice about Dallas because they’ve been showing they want a C more than anything. On top of that they already pay Barnes to play the exact same 2 positions porter would play.

I heard that they are going after Cousins or DeAndre Jordan in free agency. Wouldn’t drafting Bamba be redundant for them then?

I've been #TeamBamba all along but don't think he'll be there at #7. I'm confident that MPJ/Trae will be the 'upper tier' players left at #7. WCJ and Mikal Bridges will also still be there

Bamba, Knox and Khyri Thomas my favorite prospects in this draft. I think all 3 end up being stars in this league.

If we end up with MPJ, a couple years from now when he fizzles out, everyone in this forum will be wondering just how in the hell we ended up drafting a broken/unproven player with all the signs staring us right in the face.

To get Bamba , you'd probably have to trade with Memphis for their #4 and Parsons contract for them to even listen

Also, say lauri bulks up and gets some lower body strength by age 23-24 he can post up,box out and play more physical. What happens when you draft carter who is a 5 in the nba? Then what? You have a player in lauri who can play the 4 and 5

Vs small ball line ups where does carter play?

you have a mismatch because lauri is 7 footer who can post up/shoot over any switches & can defend vs a small ball lineup. What purpose does wendell carter serve then?

We just watched a finals game where both teams in it didn't even really use a 5 at all. They using guys like draymond, tristan and Kevin love who would historically be 4s at 5, so in this draft unless a special big drops which imo is only ayton or bamba, you go wing, which is porter jr or bridges. Guys like georgi dieng and thon maker are riding pine based on how the league is shaping up, in this day you go wing imo.

Now if bamba is there, then you def take him.

Imo though, mpj and bridges will be there and gar pax will draft carter, just to try and be the smartest people in the room. This board will melt down.
I don't think Bamba is special like some on here but I agree with you that unless a center is special drafting them early is like drafting a rb in the nfl early. It doesn't make sense.

It sounds like we should be getting one of Bamba, MPJ or Carter. Dark-horse would be Mikal Bridges. I can live with that.

If Danny Ainge wants him, that is all that needs to be said.

Looks like he is holding a size 5 ball...

I like him a lot, but he won't be available to us. I've been saying all along that his shot is healthy, he just needs repetition, and he'll be a legitimate threat from 3pt line.

Welcome 2 my life for the last half year

They are 1a & 1b for me

But Bamba's been my #1 since mid-season. Things may have been different if Porter played.

Yes Bamba won't be available. Looks like those those early harmless wins the Bulls were getting that we were oft told to relax about were kind of harmful.

How sure are they they’d get either guy when their not all that primed to breakout in the playoffs. You’d bank a lot hoping one of them wants to come

Don't worry! Look what we got for signing Niko - the 22nd pick! What a mistake that signing was.

Really Fleet?? C’mon man. No need to regress back to that. Let’s look ahead.

Anyway, Bamba is the guy that I most like in this draft but it wasn’t always that way as I was firmly on the Bagley/Porter train. But the more I see of him and his aura, the more I’m starting to feel that he is the guy that has the best shot at being that unicorn type talent in what is already a very good draft class. If there was ever a guy worth trading up for (and taking that huge gamble) Bamba is the guy that I think we should take that homerun swing on. He could be a real franchise changer.

As long as you agree that you will be appropriately pessimistic next time

We should. I don't know how to outbid Danny Ainge.

He's one of my favorite draft prospects in years. And it's not really just the basketball player, it's the personality and the intellect. And the arms. OK, definitely the arms.
Some of y'all care about some stupid stuff. I only if he or any other person can do their job. All that other stuff I don't care about I'm not his friend, neighbor, etc. I don't know why y'all care either but whatever we are all different.

I’m not convinced that Ainge is going to go as far to get Bamba as most people seem to think he will. He’s going to need to come up off of Brown or Tatum and I don’t think he’s going to do either...nor should he.
