If they don't win the NFC it will be shocking at this point

Mahomes vs Rodgers Super Bowl - bring it on and Go Chiefs!!!!

Their weakness is against the more physical teams with good ground games and opportunistic defenses. Unfortunately, most of those teams play in the AFC except for TB.

I think the Rams could be another team that matches up with them fairly well.

I can only assume that the powers that be handling the schedule next year won't be so quick to put da bears on prime time, It seems like they've been on every week here in FL.

he should use some of Jimbo's quotes.

“I coach by faith. I coach and teach every day on where I think we're going to be. When that's going to happen, when that's going to break through.

“… I’m going to develop this bench, and I’m going to develop this team"

“Cause we got to figure it out. We got to learn. We got to settle down, and I want to see somebody take control and take over the thing …"

Slightly new. Calling out a defense that has held the team together all season while you dithered with the offense.

I agree with this, however il-fated campaign. Given this Mom n Pop franchise record of decision-making prowess.

Hey speaking of football - did any of you catch the Bill Simmons with Tony Romo podcast last week?

I've been watching NFL football for close to 50 years. I've always wondered WTF they are saying in the huddle. I use to think they were actually calling the play during the huddle.

Tony explains that what they really are doing in the huddle. They are adjusting the play that was sent in. He's giving the team the signals that he's going to bark out so they know which side of the field the play is going to happen on based on what he sees when he steps up to the line. He kinda peels back the curtain on the secret language of play calling.

It's fascinating stuff that I never really understood that well until he explained it. Like I watched that game last night and could actually see this happening at the line now.

Love or hate Simmons/Romo - if you like football and want to understand it even better........

That's a pretty manageable schedule. I think Detroit and Jacksonville are pretty likely to be wins. Houston and Minnesota could go either way.

Unfortunately this will likely end around an 8-8 season.
With the way the Bears are playing (like they don't care), I don't see them winning another game.

The Bears need to overhaul the organization in a similar fashion that the Bulls just did. Get rid of a GarPax like thought process and bring in some good football minds in various executive roles. Let them hire their Donovan.

The Packers are the Cubs of the NFC North, a "good" team in a division full of "crappy" teams. I don't see the Packers going far in the postseason. I think either SEA/LAR eliminates the Packers.

That decision by Trubisky to take a 3 yrd loss over throwing the ball away is so hilariously stupid. It basically confirms Trubisky is not an NFL QB. I don't know what decision was dumber, last night's or the night (also against the Packers) in which Mitch missed an open target in the endzone.

If Pace/Nagy are not gone on the Monday after the season, then I will be tuning the Bears out in 2021.

Nagy throwing the defense under the bus is complete BS by him. The defense is tired of carrying the worthless offense.

I agree minus the season of keeping the same roster to "evaluate" who to keep and who to get rid of. :P

He should 100% leave he deserves better and honestly we shouldn't pay him at this point we have way too many holes to give a 28 year old receiver $120+ million

I love A Rob I think he's probably the best receiver we've ever had (Marshall is up there) but at this point I think it would probably be mutually beneficial for him to move on.

The McCaskeys need to nut up and clean house, everyone should be gone. The Bears are worth $4 BILLION dollars, they shouldn't let some measley coach/gm salary ($10 million combined?) stand in the way of progress.

You do t do that in football anyway. Basketball is different that way, Football you can gut teams way easier, one there are lots of contracts and two they are non guaranteed.

And you can tank and get the pick you want. Completely different.

The shelf life wide receiver in the NFL is relatively short. Robinson would be foolish to resign with the Bears, who have no Professional level Quarterbacks and one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL (if not the worst). This would be his last big money contract. Demand for him is likely to be high.

You have to think the Bears Front office will be undergoing yet another overhaul after this season. And Pace's replacement will want his own Head Coach. So figure Nagy's days are numbered. At this point they should just lose all their remaining games in order to have a higher First Round pick to try to get another potential franchise QB. Trubisky was an epic fail. That selection alone is reason enough to fire Pace. The other 50 reasons to fire him are just cherries on the sundae. I had high hopes for Pace. He has a decent track record for mid round drafting. But he isn't a GM. He has so completely blown developing the Offensive side of the ball that the Bears are unwatchable. I don't even bother turning their games on anymore. I have better ways to waste 3 and a half hours.

If the Bears lose out they might draft high enough to be able to Draft Kyle Trask from Florida. Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields will be gone. I'd have to look at Jamie Newman of Georgia too. Sam Ehlinger of Texas is too much of a Trubisky clone. I'd stay away from him. Too many concussions at UT during his career. Mac Jones of Alabama has the record, the pedigree and played against the top College competition. But his size is underwhelming. Trey Lance of North Dakota State is also a possibility but the lack of top tier competition would make him a bit more of a risk. But it's clear that we need to Draft a QB. All the other picks need to be Offensive linemen.
