As long as you agree that you will be appropriately pessimistic next time

Anyway, Bamba is the guy that I most like in this draft but it wasn’t always that way as I was firmly on the Bagley/Porter train. But the more I see of him and his aura, the more I’m starting to feel that he is the guy that has the best shot at being that unicorn type talent in what is already a very good draft class. If there was ever a guy worth trading up for (and taking that huge gamble) Bamba is the guy that I think we should take that homerun swing on. He could be a real franchise changer.

We should. I don't know how to outbid Danny Ainge.

I’m not convinced that Ainge is going to go as far to get Bamba as most people seem to think he will. He’s going to need to come up off of Brown or Tatum and I don’t think he’s going to do either...nor should he.

He should give up Hayward or Brown, and that is feasible.

Feasible, yes. However, they are coming off a year where they went to the ECF without their two best players. My feeling is that they are going to get Irving and Hayward back. Let brown stay in as the 2 gaurd and have Tatum an Rozier off the bench as a hyper stacked team that will be poised to come out of the East next year. I believe they might opt to hold assets for a potential deal to land AD.

If we can some how pull off a deal with Denver for Faried and the 14th pick, we would then be able to beat most offers to Memphis at 4, which I suspect is where we’d need to move up to to get Bamba. 7, 14 and a future second would likely get it done.

Wonder what Bamba thinks of his high school teammate Cam Reddish. Real smooth wing who's a top recruit for Duke this year and could very much be in play for Bulls in 2019.

How Ainge will be able to get anyone to agree to a trade with him right now is beyond me.

Young or Bamba look 10x better picks. Especially for Chicago, who doesn't need another Pf.

Don't believe the hype, MPJ is fine

Bulls & his Agent have probably been working on this plan since Jimmy left

Porter Jr. was at the UC how many time last season?

They know what they're doing

lol @ pf

He didn't show anything in his life to assume he could play Sf in Nba. He hasn't body or skills to play Sf. He's basically too skinny big. And let's say he plays with Markkanen and some C as Sf. You will have basically 3 bigs in the court, who won't create much for others. I hope Kings draft him, he somehow belongs there, like the last nail in the coffin.

The Kings had the same number of wins and hold the 2nd pick. Memphis had the 2nd worst record and is drafting 4th. Had the Bulls lost the coin toss, they would be picking 2nd.

I never understood why we think MPJ won’t fall to us. Teams that could use him are too high to justify it. I never thought twice about Dallas because they’ve been showing they want a C more than anything. On top of that they already pay Barnes to play the exact same 2 positions porter would play.

I heard that they are going after Cousins or DeAndre Jordan in free agency. Wouldn’t drafting Bamba be redundant for them then?

How sure are they they’d get either guy when their not all that primed to breakout in the playoffs. You’d bank a lot hoping one of them wants to come

Yeah that’s true. So the question now is will Dallas no longer pursue a free agent center if they get Bamba? Does it make sense for the Bulls to address their Center needs through Free Agency and draft a good wing in the draft?

I'd add Portis on a trade deal to move up in the draft to get Doncic or Bamba.

Ironically, the Bulls lost one too many. Which is I guess, the draft lottery gods punishing the Bulls for a poor job of tanking. It would be funny if I had a sense of humor.

He's actually becoming my favorite draft prospect. I keep thinking daily Porter Jr or Bamba? I would love to see a huge frontcourt of Lauri & Bamba. We could always add a wing at #22 specially with player like Troy Brown, Chandler Hutchison, or Keita Bates-Diop. I'm pretty sure the Bulls will make the right selection.

To get Bamba , you'd probably have to trade with Memphis for their #4 and Parsons contract for them to even listen

And who knows, maybe Atlanta takes him at #3. They have 3 picks in the First round. They can draft wing help later on. Unless they're in love with Bagley. But between Bagley and Bamba I'm going with Bomba. If Bomba is hitting 15 x 3s in a row, even in an empty gym....with his defense....!

I would also go Bamba. I would pair him with Collins and keep Dennis Schroeder. They could be a nice team with Bamba, Collins, Prince and Schroeder.

I see Porter Jr as a small forward who ever sees different I am not sure what film you are watching. The kid could create for others but he also could create for himself. Time will tell who was right but I see him playing small forward in the long run.

Return to Chicago Bulls
