Hell no for trading for Zion, he aint even semi healthy.. Just too big, he needs to cut down weight a loooot.

Also hell noo for trading for James at this stage of his career, maybe 2-3 years ago, not now.
Same goes for AD, injury after injury.. Only if price is low or just wait for free agency, thats the smartest move.

Cleveland would be dumb for trading for Lebron this offseason too..

I would absolutely trade for Zion.

Worth the risk

How much would you give up?

Injury and weight aside, I struggle with the right front court role for him. IMO, he's a paint scoring, rebounding player who doesn't rim protect or have defensive range to guard 3's. So finding a guy to pair him with is tough...need a 3pt shooter who can both guard 3pt shooters and guard the rim.

Zion would be a very high risk, medium to high reward.
Depends on the asking price TBH. Don’t know how many tradeable FRP picks or swaps the Bulls have at this point, plus PWill and Coby.

The depth would take a huge hit, and the trade has the potential of a big swing and miss. But slotting in Zion at the 4 would be a massive upgrade…..if healthy.

Here is how it could work
PWill comes back, and looks promising, and White keeps playing well
We trade those 2, plus the rights to our pick and the Port pick for Zion
Zion might "force" a trade to a big market, and he had that commercial with Lavine already

Putting an in shape Zion in our lineup could win us 70 games next year, if we stayed healthy. The lineup would be unstoppable

Acquisition cost and injury risk for Zion is a big no for me. If PWill, Coby, + picks got it done its worth considering, but I don't think that would be enough.

I'd def trade for Zion, but I don't think we can afford him without gutting our whole team. When he's on the court, he's been phenomenal. The problem is that hasn't happened too often.

The injury risk and weight issues ARE the reason why we're even having this conversation. Otherwise he's staying in New Orleans as their franchise guy.

It's not even in the same universe. Indiana got Tyrese Haliburton, 5x better than Patrick or Coby, for just Sabonis.

Zion will be triple the cost of Sabonis. Probably more like the Harden trade: 4 first round picks, 3 players, and 4 1st round pick swaps.
Pwill & Coby are worth about an average 1st rounder each.

IMO Zion will force his way to the Knicks circa Carmelo.

What you would have to give up to get Zion would be betting the franchise for 3-4 years on him alone. If he stays healthy you're drafting 25+, if he's hurt and you're in the lottery do you draft someone at his position? The problem with that is, he has the potential that's balanced by the physical problems that he is not over. You draft a guy with those issues because of the potential no problem. But you don't trade for him and give up what you already have based on some great GAMES you've seen from him as opposed to even one very good SEASON. If he is awesome for 45 games in a season but out for 37 are you really better off than being very good for all 82 games? If you're on the doorstep in the playoffs if he's suddenly not there you've made a bad bet.

I don't even think it's really worth considering right now. The Bulls are a good team and we'd have to trade more than PW and Coby to get him.

I'd hate to trade a bunch for Zion and then each year we're hoping that he finally gets healthy and puts it all together. In many ways the Bulls already went through that with Derrick Rose and his injuries.

NO thanks to Zion Oden. It's a shame. I have more faith in Bulls ownership to pay the repeater tax than I have in Zion Williamson's health.

Not really. We are one move away from being SERIOUS contenders. I would rather that move be for someone dependable. Not the Fat Albert version of Greg Oden.

Embiid didn't play at all his first 2 seasons with a foot injury and is the frontrunner for MVP. This Zion/Oden talk is premature.

Well I sure as Hell would not give up the farm to find out. Let New Orleans deal with that uncertainty.

Acquisition cost could be surprisingly low.

PWill + Coby + 1sts seems like a given.

Dare I say the intriguing trade chip for us could be Ayo?

Use common sense.

Look at Zion’s body.

Look at his game.

This isn’t going to end well, unfortunately.
