As much as I love this for Ayo as a huge believer and fan, I also imagine how much higher his price tag is going. He’s earning bills right now. If they win this series he’s literally hero of the series for Minny. Drug them to 2 straight wins as the best player. So far.

It's crazy that the Bulls didn't want to re-sign him. How big would his next contract be had he stayed in Chicago?

I could understand trading Coby or Ayo, but not both. And at least get something for one of them that means something for the Bulls future.

Put some respect on Ayo's name, interviewer! At least she apologized with her point total gaffe after her earpiece surely blew up with the producer saying "FORTY THREE FORTY THREE"

Bulls fans: We need to lose every game and trade everyone. Also we can't keep paying role players.

Also Bulls fans: Why didn't we keep Ayo?

A lot of things contributed to Ayo not breaking out here.

The roster construction sucked. The fact the Bulls were constantly playing small proved to be a constant disadvantage and I think drags down all our guards.

The unwillingness to sit a struggling with injury Coby. Simply no reason to force feed him minutes and role.

Just a total organization failure. Only solace is everyone is gone.

Yes Bulls fans would like the team to be run well. If Ayo trade was part of a larger plan, I would have been okay. But there was no plan. Which is why everyone in the front office got fired.

We spent years developing him. He finally is a stud coming into his prime. Immediately gets traded for 2nds

If he stayed in Chicago his contract would be much less. I just said this in a previous reply, but it's crazy that the Bulls weren't willing to re-sign him. How much was he going to ask for?

There was also a couple of years where he got to watch DeMar ISO from the top of the key.

Ayo is thriving with pace and has been a one man fastbreak for Minny. He and Donte were so good together the other night.

There was no long-term plan. The short-term plan though was to not worsen their draft positioning. How does keeping Ayo, who could also leave the Bulls in free agency for any reason he wants, help with that?

Also, the team was losing when Ayo was here. He wasn't going to change that had he stayed.

I might be able to understand the trade if AK got anything of value for him, but he didn't. I guess you could argue about the 2nds (they have value), but I don't think much of them.

As we saw, you can't force players to sit. Ayo is a free agent; he has every incentive to play. Y'all are advocating for things that conflict with each other.

If Ayo was still here and the Bulls lost in the play-in, would you be happy?

The better Ayo plays in the playoffs the more I’m thinking it’s good that we let him go when we did, because he may end up getting a contract bigger than Coby.

I’m extremely happy for him, and I would have loved for him to still be on the Bulls but for where we are at as a team, we can’t be paying him 25-30 a year, which is likely what he is going to end up commanding.

I hope he stays with the Wolves but my guess is that he is playing himself out of their price range right now for the Wolves as well, because they are a pretty cheap franchise themselves.
Why so serious?
