Marion signing there would really be bad for us. It really allows them to play small ball since he can rebound, and also keeps them really versatile on defense.

They'd be even more prone to getting killed by Indy.

Keep in mind that Marion would likely be replacing Battier/Lewis in the rotation. They'd be getting better on the glass, quicker on the break, and probably better on defense. Their lack of size would remain an issue, but Marion would be their best rebounder.

Marion is 36 yo. For a guy with no size advantage he is due to decline and soon.

Honestly, even if they get him are you really impressed by the McBob, Granger additions? Seems to me they flopped after targeting guys like Gortat, Gasol, Deng, Ariza and Lowery. IMO so far this is the best / most reasonable, scenario for us.

McRoberts is a solid addition. I think the Granger signing was terrible.

Marion or Morrow would also help them and make me feel uneasy, but Butler would be on par with the Granger signing.

Signing a true big man would have helped them, but at the end of the day they have the easiest road to the finals of any contender if they can bring back the big three.
