That young squad went to the finals and then they broke it up for Durant and went all in on Beal (which never made any sense).
Now, all they have is Booker from that squad. They just needed to be patient.
If they kept that team together and drafted Haliburton it's possible that they'd already have a championship.
I never understood why they went after Durant. He's good, but aging and, as you point out, they had a good young team (with depth). Trading for KD and poof...that was all gone.
