His shot looks the same to me.

Not that I'd want him changing it too much anyway, considering how accurate he was from mid-range last year. Just need him to push it out a few more feet, which by all reports, he is doing.

I watched both videos :)

...and I have to say that his shot looks as flat as usual. He made almost everything in the first video, but that is not that hard to do when you are just practicing: Kevin Martin said that Tyrus couldn't miss a jump shot in practice and I remember when the Bulls had a free throw shooting contest and Noah won by making 94 out of 100.

You can tell that his shot looks flat by the amount of shots that he makes without touching the rim, i.e. swoosh, practically ZERO.

Look at some of the best shooters in the league, Nowitzky or Ben Gordon, and you can see that they have a high arch on their shots and most go in nothing but net.

P.S. I also shoot a rainbow and half my makes go in nothing but net too. They also call me rainmaker for some reason

If Derrick starts for Team USA he will definitely be given the 3 pointer to prove he can make it. Should be interesting to see how he fares, and how eager he is to pull the trigger.

Drose is gonna dominate this year. I think he is going to win MVP this year too.

I am glad that the second video was from last year, because he probably missed more shots than he made.

That said, his shot is still flat in the first video. Maybe it is just the camera angle, but be probably made 50 jumpers in it and maybe one went in 'nothing but net'.

That's just going to be the way his shot is I think. If you watch highlights of any game where he is shooting lots of jumpers, that's how his shots always look, lots of rolling around the net before they go down. But he shot an elite percentage from mid-range, so if its working can't knock it.

As long as he stops missing shots short of the rim, I will be happy.

But in that game against the 76ers where he made 4 three pointers he had a visibly higher arc on his shot, if not for only that game.

I haven't studied it closely but it would seem like he would need a whole new form for his threes. His form doesn't suggest shooting a high percentage from three at all. But we'll see. In the clips here it seems everything is the same and he says its going down at high rates. :dontknow:

First off.. more like who DIDN'T watch the whole video... amirite? Anyway as always Derricks mid range shot is deadly. I read a post the other day where someone said he had a bad mid range shot and I almost fell out of my chair at work. His three looks a little flat to me too but I think it's a work in progress and he'll get better the more confidence he gains in the shot. Once he starts hitting at a decent rate in NBA games I would expect him to attempt more. Boozer should also give him that option a lot more this year.
