CHI gets: Courtney Lee

HOU gets: Hasheem Thabeet, Keith Bogans, Miami 1st (via Chi)

BOS gets: Shane Battier

MEM gets: Semih Erden, Jermaine O'Neal, Phoenix 2nd (via Chi)

Why?
Chicago gets their man in Courtney Lee without giving up Asik or Gibson.

Boston gets their man in Battier for two big men who barely get minutes.

Houston gets the size they were looking for in Thabeet, and a late-first round pick to help rebuild. They also get Bogans to throw into their guard rotation now that they lose Lee.

Memphis replaces Thabeet's 2-year, $4mil deal with J.O.'s 2-year, $5mil deal but also comes away with a young international big man in Erden, as well as a 2nd-rounder.

Lee is the best player we could get fit wise and I think would excel as the 4th option playing alongside Rose, he is a really solid young player who can grow as the starting SG here. I would just keep the 2 first rounders on the table and they'll bite at some point, they could surely draft a big or flip them somewhere else to get one. I think Lee is worth asik (easily in fact) but trading the picks would be better for us, if they still resist just go get AParker.

Isn't Lee just a better version of Bogans? Obviously, Lee is better than Bogans, but the shooting guard spot would still be a roation, Lee wouldn't come in and play 30 minutes a night, maybe 20-25 minutes, more than Bogans, but not full starting minutes with Korver and Brewer also around. Size is just so important, Asik is a nice young talent, I don't think we move him for a mediocre shooting guard just because Bogans is seen as a weakness.
