Wow. Truly sad news. To think about how dedicated he was to this board and how connected we all feel towards him just strengthens the notion that RealGM is truly a community.

George, you were like the Bulls fan grandpa I never had. Thanks for everything youve taught us. Hope you get to catch a game or two with Norm and Red!

I just realized that while I was reading this thread and posting my reply, the song Knocking On Heaven's Door came on in the background on the cd player in the room that I'm in. Kind of weird.

This is truly sad news and he will be greatly missed. R.I.P. George my prayers are with your family.

Whoa, sad news to hear. I know I don't post here that often since I joined, but sad to hear that about a prominent poster on this board that I was used to seeing whenever I was posting or just lurking. RIP :(

I do not have the words.

Tommy has been a valuable member of this forum and true member of our family for a long time. His absence will be felt across the forum and across RealGM, but more than anything, I want to send my condolences to those who knew him, loved him, and are now without him.

Much prayers go out to his friends and family.

Yes he did, I forgot what it was.

Anyway, RIP George. Wow! that's so terrible to hear. Anyone know what happened? Was it a cause of age, illness, accident or something else?

He was in his 60s and in poor health for awhile.

Rest in peace George.

That's too ba about Tommy, he seemed like a nice guy.

I'm guessing his family signed in by accident or to delete his account.

Needless to say, the mods got to know him a lot given how much we communicate off the public forums. George was a very, very polite and kind man. And you have to trust me on this, since he didn't always show it on the main forum, but he was funny. He would frequently get suckfish and myself into some serious LOLs.

I always enjoyed the stories he told us all about basketball back in the day. He was around for the birth of the Bulls, which led to some very interesting stories from way back.

I'm truly going to miss him a lot.
