I will be at the Bulls Cavs game at the UC on 2/12. So yes, the Bulls need to win this one and get everyone healthy so by the time that date rolls around I can actually be at a bulls game where the full roster is playing, they have confidence they can beat this team, and the home woes are behind them.

Wait, what am I thinking??

The way 2015 has been going for the bulls I wouldn't be surprised if Love goes off on us with like 6 or 7 threes, even we he has been terrible by his standards this season.

The more games, the less confidence I have in this bulls team and I was really expecting to be the opposite :(

That's if he even plays.

Tonight, I'd say:

*Take care of the basketball, have to cut down on the turnovers. Rose improving here helps.
*Pick up their guard bringing up the ball early, in the backcourt, it gives bigs time to get set and uses up some of their shot-clock before they can get into their offense
*Limit second chance points - guards to have to look to rebound to secure long rebounds that go over bigs and back out
*Limit points in the paint and midrange shot points (result of poor P&R/P&P defense)
*No excuse for fast-break points AFTER MADE BASKETS! Simply can't happen. If Love plays, then extra attention must be paid to this, as he has shown the ability to launch length of the court chest passes.
*Guards, fight through the damn screens, and bigs be aware of the roll/pop guy.
*Stay away from the 'dump into Pau' syndrome, it wastes too much shot clock while he gyrates through his array of back to the basket moves. Forget that, sit 18 feet out making Thompson or whoever come out, and let Rose dribble penetrate and kick back for those 18 footers.
*Taj, gotta get your D on and your shot-blocking on, Pau can't defend 1-on-1, his blocks totals are deceiving, as they are mostly 'help blocks' he gets, versus defending one on one. Make quicker decisions with the ball please and if doubled, react and pass it. Also, Taj, if they call stuff on you, turn around and STFU, they ain't gonna change the calls cause you're bitchin' and moanin', and then you fall asleep on coverage while pouting, so yeah, there's that...
*Prefer Moore/Snell getting Hinrich minutes and Niko giving Pau some more bench time, but Niko's gonna have to really step it up and avoid silly/too many fouls.
*They can get away with some Brooks minutes on the 6'3" Irving, who'd have to chase Aaron on the other end.
*McDermott could return, but not sure about any significant minutes or contribution, being that if he did play, it would be his first game back. But a few threes out him would be nice tonight.

So, yeah. basically it's a trap game for Cleveland :-)

Eventually this spiral downwards will end but as of now there is no finish line in sight. We're not as good as looked a few weeks back and we're not as bad as we look now -- but it appears like we're a good (not great) team. A lot can happen between now and spring but it's tough to envision a championship team look as miserable as we have.

I hate to say it but I expect a double digit loss. Horrible defense, poor coaching, exhausted players, and sloppy play are a recipe for disaster. Irving and Lebron are playing well and I don't see any answer for them. We can only hope that JR Smith plays enough to cancel out Thibs, Hinrich, etc.

Doug is back but will he play. I'd hope so and that he replaces Moore minutes off the bench

I think this is going to be a L...But im not concerned. I think we are still without 2 starters and Derrick is still working his way to be a difference maker...Jimmy is in a shooting slump and we are playing Hinrich too damn much (recipe for disaster).

Cleveland is playing a bit better and Lebron seems to be back and caring more about his team.

BTW just look at Derricks vs Kyrie Numbers...Pretty much the same...I was surprised considering all the struggles he had in the season.

Silly Derrick really could use the Marshawn Lynch guide to dealing with the media. Every time he speaks, something stupid comes out.

Glad to hear that our star player isn't letting basketball get in the way of his stories. Phew.

With the way our defense has been lately, tonight will be a season high in scoring for LeBron.

1. Defend Love in the mid-range game and out behind the arc

2. BLOCK OUT. Last time Tristan Thompson killed the Bulls...what did he have, like 10 offensive rebounds?

3. Limit turnovers and GET BACK IN TRANSITION

Hopefully Doug gets to play. I wouldn't expect him to see heavy minutes, given that he's probably not in game shape. Is Dunleavy still out?

Agreed - I kinda love that approach by Marshawn. I did bold the part of this quote that I found to be a positive. He needs attack not just on offense but on defense. Not that I take much from his quotes, but this makes me think that he has defense and agressivness on his mind.

I would rather Doug take Snell's minutes and Moore take all of Hinrich's. If Doug starts playing well, the minutes will be there for him.

Just amazing that a guy doesn't want to take his work home with him. Are judges supposed to go home and watch court TV or doctors supposed to sit at home and watch er? I'm sure he watches film with the team and preparation for their next opponent. What's the issue? Seriously? Finding fault in everything he says is getting ridiculous.

I didn't know Derrick Rose worked in a highly skilled trade that works huge hours. Silly me, I thought he was a basketball player.

I mean Bron can make time in his busy schedule.
