I would like to point out that Wade was the primary scorer/creator for his team last year. I'd imagine that has a HUGE amount to do with his efficiency dropping the last 2 seasons.

This will not be the case anymore. He can get back to his uber-efficient off ball style that he played with Lebron a couple years before that.

I don't think expecting him to shoot over 50% is unrealistic at all...

I expect
17ppg/5rb/6ast from Wade.
24/6/6 from Butler.
11/6/9 Rondo.

Dwayne Wade throughout the season last year with the heat and how Spo mangaged his minutes.
1st quarter he usually chills scores around 4-6 points goes to the bench with 4-6 minutes left in the quarter
2nd quarter comes in with about 6-8 minutes left and takes most of the shots with 2 minutes left and scores around 10-12 points in the first half
3rd quarter was his weakest quarter and would score about 2-4 points to leave him around 12-16 points and Spo would take him out around the 2-6 minutes left. Usually would tank this quarter to go all out for the fourth.
4rth quarter- He would come in with about 6-8 minute left and It was all pretty much Dwade from here . Sometimes he would go off and other nights he couldn't by a bucket and most of the fans in the forums would call him KADE. kobe bryant = dwayne wade.
Wade is a speical player and when he is feeling it and has his legs he looks like a superstar other nights he looks pretty old.
Other thing to note is that when wade goes off in the first half and scores more than 16+ points he gets gassed and has a pretty **** second half.
Been watching wade forever probably know his game more than himself lol .

Yeah, watching his minutes will be key this year. I think we have the depth (and other playmakers) to achieve that.

coldfish wrote:Wade hasn't been at those levels recently. Even saying these things is setting the guy up to be a disappointment. The last time he even sniffed Bulls-MJ levels of production was years ago.

I would like to see:
- 20 PER on reduced volume but higher efficiency
- Him work off ball like he did with Lebron
- Him run the offense at times next to Butler and frequently when Butler is resting on the bench
- Not a defensive dynamo but not a turnstyle either and to see him ratchet up the D during critical times

If you get that, his signing would be a wild success and the Bulls could push for around 50 wins.

Yes sir. And then present the case to Westbrook/Paul/Blake/and dare I say, LeBron, that you need to team up with a group in order to even have a puncher's chance against GSW now. A solid 50 win team, with Jimmy in the prime of his career and a still serviceable Wade (especially come playoff time), not to mention full max money (no need to ask them to take a paycut), and we have ourselves as good a case as any going into '17 FA
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

Similar to Rose's last year. Won't play consistently because his body won't let him. He'll pick his spots on defense and show up for big games. I expect somewhere between 14-18ppg and imo he will have a higher than expected assist total. I'll go with a line of 15pt 7ast 3 boards

If we can't then the Kobe mention above, might sadly not be far off.

Don't we have new key members on our training staff/med team?

We do, but it was all supposed to change when Jen came in too, and that was a flop.

True, but doesn't Chip Schaeffer (sp?) have a proven track record from back in the dynasty days?

Anyway, I think we as a fan base need to realize that no one can prevent injuries, but maybe handling them better after they happen should and needs to improve.

I would expect a 20 point season from him if I were you guys. He has something to prove and he's not done yet. What will help him is that he finally has another person next to him that can put pressure on the defense and take attention away from him. He never had that with Bosh (teams would just leave him wide open to shoot) and Dragic is not as good as some on our fanbase hopes. I don't expect it, but if he's lucky he might not get the toughest defender on him every night anymore because of Butler, so that will help his efficiency immensely.

So I'd say 20 pts, 5 rebounds, 3 assists. I think his assists might be low because I don't expect him to be asked to play make as much with two good ball handlers and one good playmaker in Rondo. He will just focus on scoring.

Obviously, this is barring injury. He has always been unlucky with that unfortunately. But I wish him nothing but the best, and I hope you guys really appreciate what you've stolen from us (or rather, what we stupidly gave up over Pat's ego). He is still a top 20 player in the league when he gives a **** and I'm going to miss him terribly.

I'd expect his minutes to be managed, especially with how many playmaking guards we have.

His PER has been dropping at a very slow rate every season, 1 PER per year. So I'd expect him to be a 19 PER player next season, anything more would be nice.

My floor is that he provides us with more production than Derrick Rose. Who was 13 PER.

I expect around 67 games and 32mpg for Wade. Let him sit for the worst opponent on back to backs or when the knees aren't feeling well. He's a competitor so I don't equate this situation to "General Soreness" that Bulls fans are used to. Healthy Wade is still a top 15 beast come playoff time. I think he'll average around:

18ppg
4rpg
5ast
50%+ shooting on increased efficiency from last season

Jimmy and Wade should be the "Smash Brothers". Is there a set of guards more physically imposing on the competition in the NBA? Throw in Rondo and the Bulls have a rugged trio on the wing.
