That bull foul at the end was unnacceptable.

Butler NEEDS to play better. You have to get at least 30 if you want to beat LA in their home court.

I don't blame Fred for playing Bobby. You can definitely argue against it, but Lopez guarding a stretch 5 would've been a problem.

just to be clear bobby portis put up 2 points, 3 rebounds, 4 fouls and 0 other boxline stats in 20 minutes

he's not adding anything on either side of the ball and should not be a significant rotation player right now

Name one shot Speights got off Portis that he wouldn't have gotten on Lopez? Come on now.

A little glimpse into what bad coaching can do for you in close game situations. Some crucial rebounds missed in crunch time with Portis in the game over Lopez. This was a terrible loss. I don't really care who you're playing, but you shouldn't lose games when you establish a 19 point lead.

NBATV Dennis and Coach Fratello say that was a BS bailout call on Jimmy.

Hoiberg definitely gets some blame for this. When your guy is consistently being torched by a end of bench player you need to rip him out the game. Fred has done good by throwing out different guys at opponents but tonight he let guys play too long and it cost us the game.

One thing for sure is that we NEED a backup big more than anything.

I wonder if Doug would've been in guarding Speights in the 4th?

Good game guys, legs were just short down the stretch.

I wouldn't be too hard on Hoiberg. Lopez couldn't play with Speights out there. Mirotić maybe but he sucked so I guess it's 50/50.

Now just need to find some energy for tomorrow night. It would be really bad to lose to the Lakers, it would make tonight that much worse.

Win tomorrow and then you have 3 more very winnable games after that. @Lakers, @Nuggets, @Sixers, 5 days rest, vs Lakers.

And yeah, Mark Davis is the worst, always has been.

This is the story that nobody wants to read. The focus will be on Fred and Portis, but the reality is the game was there to be won and all it took was hitting the open shots we had and a slightly better running of the offense.

No biggie though. We just played a great NBA team tough on the road. Nothing to be ashamed of. Lets go beat the Lakers now.

The offensive rebound and put back early in the quarter for sure. Whether he would have or not Lopez should've for sure been on the floor. If Bobby and Niko aren't defending him what's the difference? Bobby did nothing on offense and Mo wouldn't have been able to stop Lopez.

No shame to losing to Clippers on the road on the circus trip. That being said, pretty ticked Griffin didn't get called for the travel. We would have have been down by two and had the final possession with 20 seconds to shoot. Could have tied or won, SMH. Calls during the early parts of a game usually don't decide the outcome, but ones at the final minute can.
