all you guys have buried the lead! Front office has finally given up on doug!!?? thank you jesus!!

if they get a first for doug then theyve pivoted well. id be happy with a salary dump. but lopez? no reason to dump lopez now. we can get more for lopez on draft day. lopez has been almost as good as gasol was. hes young and on value. does what is asked and is happy with whatever minutes. he should get you a solid role player and top 15 #1 pick.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

If I was on the other end of the call with the Bulls asking for a 1st round pick for Doug, I'd laugh and hang up.

If it happens, FANTASTIC. I just don't see it happening though.

I think we all understand that Doug, Rondo, and Mirotic are the only players that need to be traded. Lopez has been performing exactly as expected on a bargain contract so there is no reason to trade him.

At the beginning of the season Doug was saying that he wanted to play some minutes at power forward, but his defense is so bad that Zipser has his minutes and Doug is now playing shooting guard.

Lets also trade Gar/Pax for Phil Jackson.

Lopez being on a bargain contract should be the EXACT REASON why we should trade him. He probably has the best value of the bunch, so we shouldn't hesitate to trade him.

Trade everyone but Jimmy and Wade if the right deal comes along.

I'd say Lopez is an average to above average center. He boxes out well, can knock down a mid range jumper. He can net the team a first round pick.

This is thread for pro-tankers who want Jimmy on the roster still.

Move Doug, Lopez, Taj

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Worst three point shooting team in the league? I know how to fix that...cut the minutes of your best three point shooter and then trade him for a pick. Rondo/Wade/Butler/Gibson/Lopez have certainly demonstrated that you don't need shooters in the lineup!

I think this trade attempt is to give 76ers a first rounder while keeping a first rounder for ourselves. I wouldnt even mind keeping two first rounders

I'd rather have 2 first round picks than one and Okafor tbh

Forget about what we coughed up for Doug in the first place - if we can get a 1st for him, I think you do it.

Lopez I imagine they're trying to line up a deal if they acquire Okafor.

Lopez should be less difficult.

Well the big problem with moving Lopez is that you likely have to take back some pretty big salary. Expirings and a first round pick and I'm all over it. Though I'd prefer to package Doug, Lopez and a pick for a PG.

ugh, what PG are you trying to land with Doug, Lopez & a pick?

Nurkic and Gary harris. Not sure what 2nd round picks were given and who was taken at those picks. Probably jokic ha.

Does OKC still have their first? Or any other firsts?

Maybe a swap of Mcdermott for Josh "56 PER" Huestis. Perfect bulls move. Trade a shooter and rotation player, for a guy who probably cant shoot and cant crack the rotation, all to save a million in salary

I'm confused about your last paragraph. I know we've sold guys for peanuts before like deny but Bulls already set their price for Doug and it's not that low. All they want is a 1st and maybe a trash player to make the money work. They're gathering trade chips not saving money.

If true, kudos to the Bulls. I wouldn't completely dump these guys but if someone has some use for them, trade them. Right now, that Sac pick is sitting at #11. It would be a pretty nice coup if the Bulls could get 11 (sac), 15 (theirs), 20 (Rolo) and 25 (Doug). Package 20 with 11 to move up and package 25 with 15 to move up and then you got 8 and 12.

I know, a long shot, but I can dream.

True. Im just hating on the front office to hate. I dont like them and expect the worst.

A great trade would be sending Lopez back to portland. He did great there a couple years ago.

Lopez for Festus Ezeli, Ed Davis, and Laymen. Portland has 3 first rounders in this years draft. Ask for Memphis 1st but settle for cleveland first.

That way you get out of his long contract. Ed and Festus expire after next season. And they dont even really play so that helps the bulls lose.

Does anyone really think we will get any worth while pick for Doug or Lopez?

I wouldnt trade a lottery pick for either, maybe in the 20's. Lets not overvalue our trash. This draft is suppose to be stacked, why give that up for a player who still hasnt panned out or show signs of promise? Last year maybe you couldve done this for Doug. This year, I dont expect anything outside of maybe late late teens or in the 20's. Lopez isnt worth a first rounder. Especially not before the draft. If this was the summer I think more teams would consider it. Mid-season not so much imo.

I guess it depends on whose available. No team would want to trade down for additional picks if the drop off is too low in terms of talent.

I think expecting picks in the 20's for those two would be realistic. SA/HOU/LAC/MEM/OKC are teams i think could use a Doug but also have deep picks.

contender or playoff teams who miss last piece, rim protector or C in general would be willing to part with 1st. Specially if they have bunch of them.

Portland might be a option. They lack C, but they did aquire Nurkic. Still. They have 3 first rounders this year.
Celtics might be a option. They lack rebounding, C, they have their own pick (late) and Nets pick so they would we willing to part with their own.
OKC might be option. They did lose Kanter. They maybe chasing playoffs and depth. But I dont know if Presti is willing to trade a pick. Charlotte did aquire Plumlee for Hawes and Hibbert. But you wonder would they be willing to part with a pick for Lopez. Lopez is better than Plumlee.
