According to Givony, the Grizzlies "hope to move back a few spots rather than moving out of the lottery altogether."

That would seem to make all of the aforementioned teams logical fits, with the exception of the Boston Celtics since their lone first-round pick clocks in at No. 27 overall.

ahhhhhh, nice they want a player now

I'm hoping they can land Bamba, but I'm expecting MPJ.

Ainge is so annoying..why wouldn't the 3rd team just take the 4th pick for themselves if they're willing to take Parsons contract.

I'm going to go to bed dreaming that for once we get a favorable deal, and we somehow snag the #4 and Parsons for #7, whatever else, and Asik or Felicio.

1. 7 & 22 to Memphis for Bamba.
2. Stand pat and probably take Porter.

These were always my top 2 guys anyway.

The Grizzlies have several potential trade partners, as the Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and LA Clippers have shown varying degrees of interest in a deal, a source told ESPN.

Memphis might be able to trade back to No. 6 (owned by Orlando) or No. 7 (owned by Chicago) on draft night. Duke big man Wendell Carter Jr. is a favorite of the Memphis front office and especially the coaching staff, according to sources. He is currently projected to be selected within the top seven picks in the latest ESPN mock draft

Still, due to NBA rules requiring matching salaries for teams over the salary cap, any trade Memphis makes on Thursday will need to bring back a contract or several contracts of significant size, at least for the 2018-19 season.

N-O ! Every GM should hang up the phone on Ainge if he is calling on draft night. He is looking to fleece anyone and you'd be handing him a dynasty

I think if Young goes top 6 and we don't trade up, we'll take whichever big man falls to 7. If Doncic and the 5 bigs go top 6 like I think they should and might, I think we'll take MPJ which I hate.

If we managed to move up and end up with one first round pick, I would be thrilled if we got a second round pick. But alas our team seems reluctant to even do that.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

According to sources, the Grizzlies don't anticipate the most serious proposals to arrive until they are on the clock Thursday, shortly before 8 p.m. ET.

The Memphis Grizzlies reportedly have nearly a quarter of the NBA interested in trading for the No. 4 overall pick.

According to ESPN.com's Jonathan Givony, the Grizzlies "are in discussions" about trading the No. 4 pick to the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Orlando Magic in advance of Thursday's NBA draft.

Wow.....Celts are about to take Mo Bamba, I'm sure

Boston, Denver, Clips and Knicks are not even close to having the cap space to take on Parsons’ contract. So unless the Grizz are willing to keep Parsons, those teams are likely out.

I thought Dallas and Orlando were attempting to trade with ATL to get Doncic. And ORL would have to send back about 10 M in salary to take on Parsons.

So if the Grizz are determined to dump Parsons, then we really have only one team to beat in these sweepstakes -DAL. We need to root for DAL to win the ATL sweepstakes.

Grizz could really use Portis. I would think they would like 7 and Portis for 4 and Parsons. I don’t think either DAL or ORL has a nice asset like Portis to offer. But they do have a better pick to offer. Bulls may have to include 22 if they want to get this done, especially if other teams start throwing future first round picks in the table.

Boston can take Bamba at 4 and give the Bulls' Parsons + King's '19 pick for #22, that's about all I'd do to help.

The fact that KC wrote an entire article about how we want Bamba, makes me think he's not at all who we want. KC only knows what the FO tells him, and the FO would never advertise their true intentions.

No way in hell.
If the bulls are taking Parsons then should be the ones getting #4.

Damn Celtics :banghead:
2 problems...Memphis doesn't wanna move down that far and they need a 3rd team.

So Ainge can go kick rocks

Maybe Ainge would rather stick Bamba in the middle of that lineup instead of holding onto Jaylen Brown

Hayward
Tatum
Irving
Bamba
Horford

Absolutely not. We get fleeced in that deal.
