Likely you could have gotten Dion Waiters but I am not sure the salaries match we would have to added something.

Seriously though there still has to be some value for him, literally Ingrams season after a trade to a new team would make a team potentially hope for the same luck with Lauri.

I loved Lauri prior to this year. The ideal scenario is that he stays and becomes what he should become. But this season he’s looked like a bum who doesn’t give a damn. That rarely bodes well for the future.

Would anybody really care if he got moved? He's really not that good of a player.

He's going down the route of Doug McDermott—just slowly becoming more and more of an afterthought with each passing day, until one day you see him come off the bench for another team somewhere and go, "Oh yeah, THAT guy used to play here. I forgot he was still in the league."

Gotta love when people continue to stick up for this franchise after they continue to show they don't know what they are doing.

All the young players on this roster have short comings, there's no doubt about that. I'll also will notb be 1 bit surprised if I see guys like Lauri, Zach, WCJ etc thrive if they ever get to a team thats run competently, knows how to develop their players, and hasn't created a toxic losing culture.

An important issue that's not being discussed is WHY Lauri wants out? Is it because of Boylen? Is he tired of losing? Hates the city of Chicago?

Not suprised.. He doesnt want to be on this losing team anymore, which most of the games ignores him, with stupid FO, dumb coach and arrogant owners.

Probably Zach is close to losing it too and demans trade in offseason.

Time to blow it all up and get rid of White, Carter for future picks and clean house. Brink of imploding.

As an aside, McDermott is having a strong year. 18/5/2 per 36 and shooting .452 from 3 on high volume. He’s basically now doing, finally, what he was expected to do.

It’s hard to pass the buck on Lauri when he played much better for the exact same franchise and coach, and given how other young players are improving or doing just fine ( Hutch, WCJ and obviously Lavine).

Multiple things can be true at once. The franchise and coach can be a mess and Lauri can be on Lauri.

Not surprising. Dumpster fire of a front office doesn't relate to today's players. From the owner to the the coaching staff, complete disconnect.

Hold That wrote:I think he might have the second highest trade value on this team. Wendell is always hurt and haven’t even shown enough yet to warrant anything decent at this point

no chance. wendell plays defense and is competent offensively. lauri is competent offensively and plays little defense. plus wendell has an extra year on a cheap deal

First of all, he (still) likes the city of Chicago. Weather is like back home, he and his family has a nice home, the people are nice to him and his family.

What he doesn't like is that Bulls want to make him a meaty center who on offense stands in a corner shooting threes, and on defense runs blitzes on the perimeter. Last summer he spent time with coach Boylen, and he got a different impression of what his role would be.

He doesn't like he was reprimanded in front of the team after the season opener for not sticking to the team plan, taking shots that were agreed to be "forbidden", told that he was glory-hunting instead of playing for the team.

He feels uncomfortable with a couple of his team-mates who seems to dislike him. Apparently being european, not drinking alcohol and not spending time with hookers is bad in their opinion, and Lauri fits all of that. Apologies have been presented and accepted, but it doesn't take away the uncomfortable feeling.

Most importantly, he is extremely disappointed at himself that during his time with the Bulls he has not been able to fulfill the expectations of himself, the coach and management, and the fans. He feels he needs a fresh start.

Probably the main reason is that Lauri is just had enough losing and wants out that's why.
Other reasons can be outside court issues ( family worries, limited privacy, Chicago's high crime statistics etc ) bad coaching etc.
But it can be something else too.

It didn't know something like this would be posted in a thread meant to see what Lauri has to prove to get the max.

This is huge if true and deserves the spot light.

Lauri is very passionate basketball player so it shouldn't be an surprise if / when Lauri truly is very disappointed to himself.
But the reasons why Lauri wants out can be anything such as poor coaching, bad club culture, constant losing of the games.
Or other problems related to life outside of basketball such as really high crime statistics in Chicago etc.

LOL Boylen can gtfo and Paxson can be on the same express bus for supporting this clown.

As a hard critic of Lauri, I feel bad for him now especially putting up 30+ pts and 15+ boards in the season opener.
