Yup. Me, too.

It's actually liberating to have this mind set. We don't grow old. Because of disappointment. I had to go through a lot of heavy disappointments and trauma to learn to let go and don't have expectations for my life and anyone else.

My day to day quality of life improved.

I realized I gave up on plans, goals, results, and expectations since late 1990s. I just didn't realize I was doing this all along until Summer 2019. I suppose that's why I still get mistaken for 24 years young even though I'm in my late 30s. I'm not joking. My friends do not get mistaken for early 20s. Part of the reason is because they always set goals and expectations and all that BS and never reach them. Disappointments galore. They grew old fast.

However, I'm still human. I still mess up on this. Definitely helped me as a Chicago Bulls fan though.

I have us locked in at pick 7 through 9.

Part of me feels like we end up with the better player if we get the 7th pick than if we end up with the 1st pick.

I'd take Edwards...think he has the highest ceiling.

I’m a huge DENI fan but I might take Edwards also, they’re like 1A/1B for me.

I trust Deni to play the right way so I feel like he’s going to be the best he can be and a positive on our roster as far as winning goes.

Edwards scares me a little, in his case I hope our coaching staff holds him accountable and cleans up his deficiencies.

Positive energy to the Bulls, but I've been hurt too many times to get emotionally invested in the lotto balls. Still, a little bit of luck here would be a nice sign that the Basketball gods haven't forgotten this franchise since '08.

I like the idea of Cobying Edwards as the bench scorer initially and keeping him working toward improving his chucking and lacking defense as his route to a bigger role.

Honestly, I can't see much difference between the top 8 guys in terms of upside. They are all unusually risky.

I'd be happy if we get Deni, Ball, Wiseman, Toppin, or Vassell as well.

Ball, but I actually don't mind staying at 7...which probably means we're picking first.

I'm not the biggest Ball fan, but at that position I guess you'd have to take him. I'd much rather be somewhere between 3-5, so I can justify taking Hayes or Deni.

Agreed, it feels like that kind of draft. Reminds me of 2013.

Top 10:
Anthony Bennett, Oladipo, Otto Porter, Cody Zeller, Alex Len, Noel, McLemore, KCP, Trey Burke, McCollum.
McCollum at #10 was better than the top 9.

Then you have the picks outside the top 10:
Steven Adams, Giannis, Schroder, Tim Hardaway, Rudy Gobert

Deni seems like a competent player, but where is he separating from the crowd at the NBA level?

Seems like a more fluid version of Saric (but maybe a worse shooter). Granted, that's probably about right for #7, but it's still not all that inspiring.

Deni is getting drafted my some GM with Doncic FOMO. BTW, the issues you point at were the same ones that I noted with Luca - just funny.

I could talk myself into taking Hayes first, but yeah, from an asset management POV it would probably better to get him later.

You take the guy you think is best. You don't take someone you don't believe in just because other people believe in them. I'm sure someone made the argument to take Durant over Oden and was shot down due to the traditional nature of that argument. If you took Ja over Zion you'd have been mocked (and still might be over the course of their careers, but right now? Maybe not).

I don't have any opinions on these guys, but you take the guy you think will be best and don't need to apologize or find excuses to respect the 'norm'.

For some reason I can't shake the feeling that the NBA is going to gift us the number 1 pick or a top 3 pick. Firing our coach and bringing someone else in was the last box to check. I think the NBA bosses will be smiling down on us this year as we win the lottery. Everyone knows that when the Bulls are good than it is good for the NBA.

Always love hopping on the Bulls Gold pod. We had some real good draft talk on this one.

Here are some of the draft video breakdowns of guys in our range that I’ve done:

Just wanted to thank you for these vids, Corey. You do a really good job, really appreciate it. Must've watched each of these at least five times, lol.
(also, gave each of them a thumbs up and subscribed, of course)
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Really appreciate that man. It’s been a blast working on them all. I’m glad people have gotten value out of them! Recording the voiceover for the Aaron Nesmith vid in a bit and should be dropping in a few hours.
