Re: PG: Bulls Clipped
What a fun game to watch! In past years, the only reason games like this would be close is because of other great teams playing at half speed against us. That definitely has not been the case so far this year. We're going toe to toe with some of these teams and we're not backing down. Our core guys are showing some serious development, including Zach, all in just 11 games so far. We're playing smart basketball, recognizing mismatches, switching efficiently at times on defense, and more. I'm super excited to see how the rest of the year goes, regardless of what our total win total ends up being.
- Lavine --> obviously the offense is as impressive as ever, but defensively he's competing and showing improved rotations all game long. He'll occasionally still have a brain fart but I'm loving the intensity he's bringing to his all around game right now. It'd be hard to keep him out of the All-Star game, especially if he continues to look like the net positive player that he's been thus far.
- Williams --> continues to impress in all facets of the game. He's showing three level scoring ability, pretty elite defensive potential, and occasionally some vision. It's hard to find much to fault in his game right now, but hopefully his handle continues to improve. Physically he's just as impressive as Kawhi is, so I really hope he continues to develop and put the work in because the sky is the limit.
- Carter Jr --> I loved the screen assist stats that were mentioned on the broadcast; sounds like WCJ is 3rd in that area. Defensively I expect more, but his game is coming around. Seems like his three point shot still needs another season of work, but that's fine. He's a high IQ player and we need more of these in today's NBA.
- Coby --> impressive all around game from Coby. I'm not putting too much stock in the high assist numbers, as a lot of these were easy passes, but I'm glad he was able to impact the game on an off-shooting day. We could've used a hot Coby stretch tonight, so I hope he's able to establish an offensive rhythm in games like this moving forward.

We’re missing 4 genuine rotation players. The load that Zach has to carry is too much right now, but he is doing a great job as best he can.

he needs to change up his game and look to use his shooting abilities as his primary weapon and his driving as a second option when they cut off his shootinf creating lanes .....curry type of roll he needs to listen to the coach and realize where his strength is

Cowley is an absolute bum. Which people have caught on to. He's backed himself into a career corner of playing the over the top troll to keep getting paychecks at this point.

Re: PG: Bulls Clipped
That was a solid game overall though our ongoing problems(perimeter defense & turnovers & rebounding) really bothered the Bulls.
Zach exploded AGAIN. Thad & Temple are really playing great in recent games. PatWill lost Kawhi several times while he navigated Kawhi through screens but he is only a rookie. He has great potential to be impactful on both ends.
By the way I’m really curious what AKME is thinking now after watching the Bulls play competitive basketball against good-to-great teams on a road trip.
Are they going to keep most of young core players & vets and aim to enhance roster at the 21 FA market? Or are they planning to trade most of vets and one or two of our young guys to collect future assets?

is gafford (Please Use More Appropriate Word)? coby wamted that pass right back and he knows he not doing sh.. at the 3pt line holding the ball. thats when they lost momentum right there.zach just kept them in the game with bail out shots and drives. gafford does something amazingly dumb every game.

So Zach is not as good as LeBron or Kahwi? Oh wow, thanks for the insight Joe.

Impressed how competitive the Bulls have been. Only way to go is up as the young Bulls will only get better. Zach is an All-Star and Pat Will has star potential. Loving the Billy D hiring even more.

Coby really hurt us the last two games. He was not really bad today with double digit assists, but he is the second option with Lauri out and he has not stepped up.

Two level scoring ability, still can’t get to the rim. And another 36 minutes with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Great 1-on-1 D, but struggles on the pick and roll (which is totally normal for a 19yo).
In the Giannis, LeBron, Kawhi trio he seemed to get noticeably better each time. Impressive that BD can already trust him on these matchups

There is no moral wins in Nba, at the end of the day we lost 3 in a row and we are 4-7. Teams playing well enough to beat us. You know when they turn on in midlle of third quarter what is outcome of the game. Even Lavine's game and scoring is predictable. Verry hot for most of the game, playing pg late because Coby coudlnt handle pressure, resting on defence to preserve energy (Kawhi 35,PG 27,LWill 21), making tough shots to missing same shots badly or air balling in the end. You really can imagine this script every close Bulls game.

Re: PG: Bulls Clipped
What a terrible post by Cowley. Guy scores 45 points, hits several key shots down the stretch, misses a final shot, he's the reason that the team lost. As opposed to, say, the Batum 4-point play with 2 seconds left on the shot clock, which LaVine had nothing to do with.

you sure there not playing well because of the lack of help. over playing the slow players and giving more minuites to deserving players. if markkanen will be a beast then i will back off on that comment. the way there playing i believe markkanen can help them but i wait until i see it myself

BD mentioned this in his presser. He thinks Zach and Coby are playing too much right now but its out of necessity.

Re: PG: Bulls Clipped
Am I being greedy by getting tired of the moral wins at this point?
Four of our losses could have easily been wins. The team is solid, the way they are playing right now. Just imagine getting Lauri, Sato, Otto and Hutchinson back. I hope starting Tuesday, they can really turn this thing around.

Yeah missing 3 key players to a top 5 team at full strength.
