the silver lining is that zach needs the rest and it might force guys like lauri, coby and pat to assert themselves on offense.

at this stage, i can't see the bulls moving above the 10th seed anyway, though it would be a real bummer to finish anything lower than that that doesn't project high odds for a top 4 pick...

I get not minding the tank now, because who cares at this point, but there’s no reason to be excited about it. We’re always going to be way more likely to lose the pick than to keep it. Chances are the lost pick just hurts more than it already does.

The thing is, Detroit, Minnesota, Houston and Orlando are mortal locks for a top 4 pick unless someone jumps them.

So either way, you are praying that we jump or no one jumps us. You just have to let things play out. If its meant to be, it will happen.

I will just say tank is officially on. We dont need to have top 4 worst record to get top 4 pick. We just need to be close to have best odds for that to happen.

Who knows, maybe this is what we need. The rest of the team outside of Vuc needs to learn to contribute consistently. Maybe this snaps Coby out of his season long funk.

Hope he doesn't actually have COVID, let alone a bad case of it.

Not counting on a 4-pick or anything, but all factors in mind, as it impacts the Bulls is fine to me.

He's rolled his ankle almost every game; the chemistry is all out of sorts and we're getting by with Zach hero ball. I've been fearing a major injury with him as he plays the game on a limp with no restraint.

So let's get the rest of this roster sorted.

Here is the crap shoot that is the new lottery odds. I believe there is a 94% chance that someone will jump them.

Bulls are actually only 2 games out of the #5 spot which has a 42% chance of getting a top 4 pick.

I wouldn't exactly call "starting Coby" as a blessing in disguise. He seems to be in a funk plus his tunnel vision and ability to stop our offensive momentum didn't disappear with the announcement.

To me a blessing would be to see fresh solutions and experiments from BD. There's zero reason to play it safe now, conservatively.
