I don't think playing more meaningless preseason games would help this squad much. There will be an adjustment period for some guys (especially DeRozan, I'd say) when the regular season starts anyway because it's just a completely different game. Might as well get started.
Chemistry looked good right from the start. That's all I wanted to see. There isn't much else you can take away from preseason basketball anyway.

That dude is a preaseason slayer but as soon as he plays a back to back against guys at full speed he crumbles physically. There's only so much you can learn in the preseason and other than just not looking completely horrible not many takeaways.

Kinda hopeful/expect a 5-0 start. At Toronto and home against New York, a very gettable 5-0 start
Yeah the next couple weeks after that are tougher for sure so it would be nice to take the first 5 for sure imho. Toronto is tougher than predicted though. New York and Chicago are going to be competitive all year I think. Should be fun games.
I think Toronto is an easy .500 ballclub as currently constructed. I'm a big fan of both Nick Nurse & Pascal Siakam, so I think they'll get it together to start this season. Also, look for OG & Fred to take more initiative with Kyle gone. Out of those 5 games, we're the only team that has 3 all-star caliber players so, we SHOULD win those games.

Siakam had shoulder surgery in the off-season and might not be available when they play the Bulls.
