Re: City Edition Jerseys (I was right!...well the leak was)
Last year's design IMO has a lot of potentials. It's a design that's unique, gives me similar feels like the Heat's Miami Vice uniform. The font and design concept works. I wish we were winning in that uniform.
This year's not bad. More of a classic but still fresh looks. Still much better than the Chicago Flag few years ago.

Re: City Edition Jerseys (I was right!...well the leak was)
I love most Bulls jersies and this one is no different. I still have my MJ throwback cursive road jersey. But my worst decision on jersey buying, was the ridiculously reversible jersey. You know the one, where you can wear the road jersey one day, flip the jersey inside out and wear the home side the next day. Do not know what I was thinking.
But what I find interesting, is that the older I get the less impulse I have to buy a jersey. If I did buy another Bulls jersey, the one in this thread would be the one I'd get.

I know the cursive script is from the old 80s Bulls jerseys, but I can't stop thinking that this jersey, with the combination of font and color scheme, reminds me of the old Clippers jerseys.

The funny thing about what you said is that the city edition jersey from 2017 reminded me of a clippers jersey and thats one of the reasons i didnt like it lol

I like the 2017 one a bit more in terms of it being more of a risk, but I agree it looks way more clipperish to me.

I like it fine. I really like the monochrome ones for Boston and OKC.

trying to put my finger on what gives this the knockoff effect to me, and i think it’s the black piping and the drop shadow on the numbers? maybe i’m wrong, but neither one feels like they’re actually part of the bulls jersey palate so it’s in a weird uncanny valley where i recognize those as the team’s colors but it still doesn’t look like a legitimate uniform

The drop shadow is from the 70s Bulls jerseys(early 70s anyway, think it disappeared by the mid-70s). Check out Chet Walker and Jerry Sloan.

It’s a cool concept on paper, and if I wasn’t so strapped for cash and living in London where there’s like maybe one day a year where you could wear a jersey, I’d be all over that—especially a Ball or DDR jersey. But man, like there was this amazing Mitchell and Ness marquee store in London but it shut down, how you gonna sell when it’s always cold and overcast. Really wanted a Drazen Petrovic jersey.
