I don’t want to punish Ayo or drop him completely, but he needs some DNPs. He needs to go back to roll from last year where he wouldn’t play a game or two because of where he was on depth chart, and then he’d get thrown in for a change of pace and do exactly that with his defensive hustle, fast break excitement, and straight line drives to the hoop.

Its weird but this is also around the time he started to fade last year. The thing that has really killed Ayo this year is his 3pt shooting. He has been bad the whole season. Since Jan he has shot 27% from 3. Right now Ayo doesnt quite know what he wants to do out there.

Dalen can hoop! He’s been impressive with his short spurts lately. I’m seeing a much better shooting stroke. And he hustles in ways rotation guys through a deflating season don’t. He will be erratic, but he’ll also dive for balls and fly through wildly for rebounds and tips. I want that at least part of time instead of Ayo for full time in those minutes.

With all the minutes he’s/earned from last year / been gifted this year, it seems like he feels he needs to prove he’s is well rounded. But he’s not well rounded yet.

When he plays to his strengths he had coming into league he’s still spectacular. Driving to hoop, cutting. Hustle for loose balls on defense and getting out on fast break with a solid defensive unit around him.

When he’s playing 2 out of 3 games a week and being put into game for 5-6 min spurts a half, that’s a role where all he is asked to do is exactly those things.

He’s still a 5/6th guard. Not a starter, not part of the relies upon regular bench unit. I hope Javonte can get back and move him down the pecking order to a more natural fit for now.

If we can split this 76er home-away that would be HUGE! We have a game and half on Indy, 2 on wiz, so as long as we only lose one of these we will still be ahead.

Then we got on mini west coast trip that could be solid. Trailblazers are close to turning it in for year. Will Lakers be without LeBron still? (We play them twice and without or without LeBron they’ll be gunning hard for their own play in spot … but obviously way different game without LeBron). The Clips will be a tough out but I can completely see it as a game we show up for (DDR IN LA, LaVine in LA, Bev back).

And then we get the Hornets. (Classic Bulls loss).

Don’t look know, but 76ers are on 8 game win streak. We have been streakbusters all years … for better or worse unfortunately (like busting opponents losing streaks). Hey, even if 76ers win the first one it means we get a second crack at streak busting the next game against them haha.

I’m expecting fireworks with Bev and Embiid jawing all game.

Bev and PAW should be starters with AC out. We need size. PAW has to clamp down on Tobias and Niang so Philly doesn’t constantly get those bail out plays. DDR can hide on PJ … but PAW and DDR need to coordinate boxing out!!!

I expect to see Pat Bev diving into post to try and frustrate Embiid on quick doubles. His aggressiveness could be something we’ve never got to see utilized against 76ers.

nobody has an answer for a 7 foot tall athlete being permitted to pick up his dribble at the arc, put his head down and pinball off defenders in different directions until he gets to the rim

seriously, go to youtube, start typing in 'giannis travel' and...quite a menu

No one should have to.

Brook Lopez is who kills us. He destroys Vuc and protects the rim.

And unfortunately we have to face the no. 1 on that list for the next 2 games. If we can split it, I'd be ecstatic.

No Im pretty sure its Giannis that kills us we are actually 2-1 against the Bucks this year and while Lopez has had good games against us including the last time we played its Giannis who who hurts us with full rosters

They should all be tired of Embiid and his smugness by now . We actually played team very well the last we met and Embiid beat us with a three late in the 4th.

So far this year it seems that they have figured out how to play the teams that were at the top last year who the couldn't beat . They really seem to show up for them this year.

Unless I missed one, Joel Embiid has never lost a basketball game to the Chicago Bulls. :nonono:

I watched until about 8 mins left in the 4th when the Heat cut the lead down to 4 or so. Then I put my kid to bed figuring that we would probably blow it. Pleasantly surprised to see a decided victory.

Coby was great tonight. His defensive improvement is VERY impressive-he's actually solid on D now.

Is JGreen coming back soon?

As weird as it may sound, really the only part of Coby's game now that needs to catch up is his scoring. Can he maintain this level of all-around play while at the same time recovers his scoring touch? Which theoretically should be easy considering that he's naturally an explosive scorer. There's no excuse for him not to average double digit scoring (he's only scoring 8 points per game). His scoring continues to fall under his rookie average for the last 2 years.

If I have to choose between Coby or Ayo at the end of the season, I'm very comfortable with choosing Coby. With the hope that he can regain his scoring touch while maintaining his current level of all-around play.

One of the better wins of the season. 2nd night of a b2b after a double overtime, heat been off for like 3 days and have fresh legs , built a 27 pt lead that dwindled down to 3, I for one thought it was all but over and then the team settled in executed and hit big 3 after big 3 in that 4th. Maybe it took a ton out the heat to get back in the game but again they haven't played since Wednesday.

What pat bev gave us is a spark that lonzo gave us some games with a barrage of 3s and defense and we almost always seemed to win those games where lonzo would have a 5-6 from 3 kinda stretch. It breaks the games open for us. Without that outburst we almost certainly lose a close game here. Great dam win. Really wish we had this version of the team all season. 7-4 since the break and could have been better if not for a couple heartbreaking 3s in some games.

Don't know how sustainable this is but we playing well at the right time.

Tried to watch some of the Wolves game last night but was too drowsy to really register much, and didn’t see any Heat. (life + march madness > these Bulls)

Without watching, a win last night is well done against the schedule. 2nd night of a B2B after 2OT, 3rd in 4 nights vs. a rested Miami.

While the org should’ve chosen the tank path, players won’t typically ever pack it in. So to the players - nice job, Bulls.
