The more things change, the more they stay the same. I could go back a year from today and pull one of my posts that said. "Is it the QB, the OC or the OL...or a mix of the above?"

Does the buck stop with the GM, or does it not? He has made a looot of mistakes and omissions. We can’t wait for 7 years to pass this time before the spell wears off. Results. Accountability. But you know George, takes forever to pull the plug and make the same mistakes over and over. The Bears need proven executives in the worst way, and always afraid to pay the cost it seems. Or something that misses me.

It’s ok. Ben Johnson loves OL and understands its importance. He’ll bring over Zietler and an assistant OL coach (dream scenario would be the eagles OL coaches. Sutherland I think is his name). This time next year, we will be cheering when Wright is catching a TD pass

It’s never OK to **** up.

You’re hiring him already? That’s news to him. If he’s in demand, if he has a better opportunity he will take it. Windows of opportunity missed seldom allow for do overs.

Tyrique has done everything I think he could to try and come back from that collapse. He accepted the demotion. He was involved from sideline. When T Smith went down he was ready and stepped in. And he's played pretty perfectly at CB.

So from an individual level, Stevenson has responded as well as I could hope from the Fail Mary game.

From a team perspective, Flus (and Waldron and rest of team) have responded about as poorly as I could have imagined.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer said during a radio appearance that Johnson was interested in the Chicago Bears' head coaching position, but the team decided to retain Matt Eberflus.

"He was definitely connected to the Chicago job last year. ... There were some people who thought that was the one he wanted, and obviously, it didn't come open."

I understand that. Nothing stays the same. Options and opportunities will be different. The Bears do not have this dude at their beck and call.

I think we just need to take a deep breath and relax. Eberflus is a decent coach. Our offensive line is fine. Technically, we had enough weapons last year. All we needed was a new QB. Now that we’ve got that, everything should be fine. Right??????

All around collapse today in all phases of the game.

Flus is on the molten lava seat, and Poles should be feeling a bit of warmth on HIS butt cheeks.

This team is not trending towards a championship without some major changes that go well beyond just organic growth.

RIP flus and waldron. Poles on life suppose. No more Matt's or Ryan's, Mr. Warren.
