AKME paid Pat 18m a year to put up 8.9/3.8/2

So.. prolly

That contract was dumb before ink hit paper. Giddey looks really good though and you guys are winning games. He is only 22 years of age still somehow. I would be pretty excited to have got a young lottery talent like that for a very good older role player.

I think he’s get $25 to $30 million from us. Could go higher if we make him go and get a deal to match from a team like Brooklyn.

At this point 30M seems very low. OG Anunoby who is a great role player is getting 43M on average over 5 years. There is not much money out there from teams right now, but that could change. I would bet he gets a huge bag. He is earning it with his play. The guy is playing like an All-Star.

$30M was what he was seeking before the season started. It will come down to if another team tells his agent they're ready to beat that in FA.

There will either be a lot of angry fans because of how much Giddey gets paid

OR a lot of angry fans unhappy that Giddey signed elsewhere...

I think this poster hit it right on the button as an outsider looking in. Contracts are out of control and the cap keeps going up. I honestly think he will get 40M annually, but shoot what do I know. He has looked better then Barnes for the last couple of months that is for sure.

Might be at the point where even if the Bulls didnt score another point in the quarter they still win this one.

Anyone else notice that Pat has been missing left / right on his threes a lot lately?

Is Jalen Smith back yet? Isnt he healthy enough to play? Is there not minutes for him to get his legs back in this game up 22 with 7 minutes left?

Wait, when did we sign Chris Gatling?

I remain wholly unimpressed by Matas and would be very upset not only if we trade up fo him, but if we even draft him at 11

The Bulls have to be smart about it and not just give him whatever he wants. 40 million seems too high. He's a good player, but they still need to improve the team overall.

The Raps' broadcasters slagged Zach Lavine for slowing the Bulls down. Then praised Billy Donovan bigtime. :D

On other notes, I'm stating the obvious by pointing out that Zach Collins plays a nice game. Excellent positional rebounder, boxes out very well. Smart and effective on offense. He knows what he can do and what he can't. And Giddey ... yeah I think he's the real deal. Maybe his outside shooting is a mirage, but he's not going to lose his ability to beat his man off the dribble and get to the hole. Honestly, I don't care what people say about his athleticism or lack of it. The man is elite at getting into the paint, and when you combine that with elite passing, that's a heck of a combination.

Most meh blowout I've ever seen. I guess that's what you get when a team lays down. Nothing like watching THT all night.

That's one reason why you have to take the end of the season with a grain of salt. There are teams that have basically given up already.

The team needed that after getting annihilated by OKC yesterday.

I don’t see him signing elsewhere so it will be the former.
