christ I hope it's not gambling picks.

But have to imagine this will give a nice ratings boost, I sure as hell am intrigued enough to want to see it.

I can't wait :D
LeBron has a 17.8% field goal percentage and a 12.5% 3-point percentage in clutch situations, and also made 20 of 116 game winning/tying shots in 4th/OT during his career

Or Barkley. Heard he's already fighting with ESPN and daring them to fire him.

MJ the district attorney would be fun to watch. He would refuse to lose.

I can't wait :D

He probably sees a lot of errors in Lebron's fundamentals.

And you know that he's going to call out flopping and any uncompetitive bull**** that he pulls off.

Where did you see this quote? It seems to be not real.

Yep, you're right. A good friend sent a GIF and since he's usually reliable, I believed it.
I checked and it's false.

Either way, it's hilarious.

Yeah - He’s producing a 10-part miniseries on how he hates attention

I'll be interested to see him, but yeah, nothing from his days running an NBA team suggests he's actually a great evaluator.

Sorta interested I guess but his SNL apperance lets me know I don't need him on a live mic much.

Remember before any NBA on NBC broadcast....there was a video start up breaking down the matchup? Right before the Roundball Rock theme. Super intense...that guy with the amazing voice to set the stage?

I think MJ is going to be the voice to introduce all of that. Maybe just for marquee matchups.

Bob Costas and Marv Albert used to do some of those voiceovers also.

My guess is it'll be some fairly limited pre-taped features.

I do hope he's as petty as I expect him to be.

Agreed. It will probably be some pre-taped interviews from the golf course or boat with Ahmad Rashad

For $40 million a year it can’t be that much of a part time gig.

For Jordan that isn't nothing compared to how much he gets off endorsements. Especially Nike.

but nike makes a ton of money off MJ. how much are TV ratings going to increase if he's not a consistent presence?

then again, this might just be a "loss leader" gimmick to get customers into the store

Nba on NBC will have a nostalgia effect. How long that will last though is the question.?

Jordan makes $100 M a year off of Nike. If someone is making $100,000, don’t you think they would rather be making $140,000? If someone is making $100 M, they’d rather be making $140 M.

Also, NBC isn’t going to dish out that kind of money for Jordan to do a 10 minute interview once a week. The return on investment isn’t there.
