It is sad to see a legend like Fleetwood MacBull hang them up.
However, he is moving on a great opportunity.
You were one of the best ever Fleet and just so everyone knows, Fleet has an open invite to return anytime he wants.
Thank you for everything you did for this forum.

Perhaps a scoatch off-topic, but I was wondering if legends like Fleet get compensated for their hard work, since the site has heavy traffic and seems to generates revenue from advertisement, for example this winner:

I only got to co-mod with Fleet for a short time. The bulk of his moderating time was spent while I was an administrator at another board.
But that doesn't mean I wasn't aware of Fleet and the great job that he did (along with Slim and Duck) in making the Bulls forum here one of the great ones.
Our board grew like wildfire when it was new, because we ran a high quality environment and at the time, RealGM's Bulls board was in a real troublesome period.
Fleet, Slim and Duck righted the ship. Believe me, I know what a monumental task that is, and it is admirable how they were able to pull it off -- and sustain it. And Fleet was the anchor of it all, and the one constant force throughout all those years.
Best wishes, my friend.

It is my understanding that Fleet will continue to post when he can.
He simply no longer has the time to commit to moderating up to his own, self-set high standards, so he steped down rather than compromise those standards.
Which, of course, is exactly the quality about him that made him great for the board throughout his extraordinarily long tenure.

Many years ago, I tried the RealGM Bulls board and didn't like it. Tried it again a few months ago and like it a lot.
Sounds like Fleet had a lot to do with the change.
Thanks, Fleet.

I remember tag-teaming with Fleet against those who dared to suggest that Krause (the organization) was just as important as Jordan when it came to winning those titles.
I really enjoyed posting here back then before I ran out of things to say.

Wow.
I really and truly believe that this board woudn't be half what is now if it weren't for fleet.
There was once a time that this board was less readable than ggghosttown.net and fleet is the main reason that the complete opposite is now the case.
This is a sad day indeed. You will be sorely missed, fleet.
