I am excited for Thabo and his performance last night. He was a different player. I hope this performance makes the brain trust think "if Thabo produced like that with extended minutes, what could TT, Noah, and Gray do with extended minutes". I think that is a pipe dream though. I just do not know what direction Pax is trying to take this team. The whole TT trade scenario Bucher mentioned last night has me more concerned. Play these guys at least 20 mpg before any judgemnt is made. This team has real potential if they just play the draft picks. They have talent and will be accountable if they get burn. I hope last night Thabo started that trend.

Dieselbound&Down wrote:It would take Duhon and Kirk collectively about 2 seasons of playing 82 games against the Heat before they could get 2 fouls called against Shaq. Thabo did it in less than 30 minutes of action. That is a dimension no one else on the team other than Noc seems to have.

Heh. I think we actually did pretty good at getting Shaq in foul trouble last year in the playoffs. Not sure how much was the guards, though I do remember Gordon jumping into him at the rim a few times drawing fouls.

Shaq is also a feeble old man now.

Don't get me wrong I like what I am seeing out of Thabo of late. But I just have not seen much evidence that he is our answer to attacking the rim type player.

When Hinrich comes back, I would be happy starting

GRIFFIN

over Duhon, let alone Thabo. Duhon did a fine job as a back up. As soon as he started, just like last year, his shooting went in the tank. With Chris, it seems that as soon as he goes on a bad streak, it gets in his head and makes it worse.

Just like last year, IMO, some reduced minutes would actually help him. When he is playing well, he is an asset to the team.

I agree with the Griffin starting over Duhon. Yeah Du does not turn the ball over, but he really doesn't effect the game either. Just a waste of space.

I think Thabo deserves the starting job RIGHT NOW.

That being said, I don't think he should get it until after the all-star break, and the coaching staff could make an evaluation on the players to determine if Thabo deserves to start.

Chris Duhon and Kirk in the same backcourt is simply lame. Neither player could even be considered close to a serviceable SG, so why play one of them there (most definitely Kirk).

Give Duhon a chance to get out of the funk till the all-star break, and then at the all-star break, keep him as a backup, which is all he will ever be in the NBA (unless there is an injury).

PS Chris Duhon has the offensive skills of Eric Snow.
