Haven't been on for over a month, but damn...one of the more level headed posters around here.

Who will bitch about Uncle Jerry not paying the tax now?

:( RIP TU6 aka George Zieman...

It's not much, but donated $6 in memory of Tommy. RIP George

He was one of the most very knowledgeable and informative posters on the board.

His insight will be missed.

May he rest in peace.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

That's wonderful. I'm going to donate right now. It would be nice if a lot of RealGMers each wanted to donate a little bit, just as a show of support. (The link was on p.13.) Perhaps more importantly, the funeral home is going to have an online guestbook that George's relatives will probably be able to read. It's not up yet, but once it is I'll bump the thread and re-post the link so that people can pay their respects and show George's family how much he was appreciated.

WOW. I'm speechless and stunned. This thread title seems surreal to me.

RIP, Tommy Udo 6 (will always be bulls6 to me). Extremely knowledgeable on the Bulls cap situation and always friendly and willing to provide insight on luxury tax, coon, etc.

Terrible news. I hope that he was able to go in peace (without any pain) and that his family and loved ones are doing OK.

EDIT: Just read what I believe was his last post. A great last post as it was dedicated to highlighting JR's massive ego in the Gordon/Deng negotiations of Summer '08 8-) . In a sea of sycophancy, his blunt and wily cynicism towards our management was a breath of fresh air.

I am still sadden by this loss. Never met the man but through stories and chats on this site, I wish I had. I would have sent my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends but when I heard about him dying of a heart attack, it hit home for me. My father had a triple back in 1999 and Tommy's death reminded me that we only have so much time with our parents (my father is only 3 years younger than TU6), so I wanted to spend some much needed time with my father.

RIP Tommy (George), forever a Bulls fan. We'll miss ya.

My condolences to his family, friends, and all of you guys.

Ditto. It's amazing that someone who you never met personally means as much to you as a next door neighbor, but I admit it is so in this case. I will truly miss him.

And I miss you too, Scott May, and am happy to see that you are still alive.

Udo was one of the best poster's I've ever come across on RealGM, consistently one of the best and most interesting and insightful. One of my favourites over the years even though I am from Toronto. Definitely will miss him.

I haven't been on the website in a while. After reading this post, I feel like I lost a friend even though I never met George (Tommy, Bulls 6).

You will be missed. RIP

When George would come into a discussion and have your back and agree with or support what you were saying, it felt all warm and special, because he was that wise, you knew it really meant something if your sentiment could reach him. And he never hesitated to just be himself and be honest... Many times he disagreed with me, which made the many times he agreed with me all the more touching. May God be with you George, Peace.
