Sam Hinkie about to write another manifesto.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

So ... every team is picking according to the pre-draft order, right?

Only David Stern knew. That's how the lottery is run. Stern writes the teams down, passes that along to the auditor, and the announcements are made.

Yes, but the likelihood of that happening was really high, especially because the lottery is only the top 3.

If Simmons/Ingram are the 2 franchise players in the draft...then nothing much has changed in the league. The Lakers/76ers are far, far away from competing while other teams are not going up a tier real soon unless they luck into a Kawhi type player later in the draft.

I know it makes no sense to draft based on need with the #1 pick, but honestly, with #1 being such a toss up, I can see Philly going with Ingram based on their front-court situation. Simmons would love that too, he very clearly wants to go to LA.

Curious to see what Philly does. They have to clean things up.

I think we all understand that, but ESPN has to sell ad space, so they make it sound like the earth is shifting because of a draft pick.

David Stern is still running this thing. We agree there.

Definitely a possibility. No obvious all-time great this year.

I'm legit concerned for his welfare. Not sure what the blowback will be for tweeting out that intelligence, but it won't be light.

Re: NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday May, 17 2016
Boring draft lottery since the Bulls did not get the top 3 pick lol
Most likely the Sixers will choose Simmons since they need a playmaker.
