Clutch loss. 5-11 in play still. Nagy is done. Pace should have been done a year ago but the need to find a qb and his utter incompetence in doing so should translate to his firing.

The defense collapsing sort of makes it a possibility

One can only hope.

Low IQ play by Robinson and then a low IQ play call by Nagy. These guys seem interested in losing.

That was really dumb by Robinson. He was so worried about getting OB, he forgot it was 3rd down.

I think that game was actually best of both worlds- the offense showed real progress, and Mitch looked really good for the most part. So did the line, so did Monty. And they still lost, so their draft pick improves.

I don't know what was going on with the D though. No pressure on Stafford, and leaving guys wide open 20 yards downfield constantly. They didn't even make him work on that last drive.

We're at #13 right now, no idea how we'd lose to the Jags but they're still fighting and this team might be giving up.

A top ten pick would be nice.

eh, there were only, what...16 secs left? if they don't get solid yardage on the next play regardless of down their chances drop precipitously

nagy screwed up clock management in BOTH halves today. lucky the lions didn't get points at the end of the first half

Well as Bears fans, losing is the best thing that can happen. It's doubly effective. Improves our draft position, and increases the chance that everyone gets fired

mooney looked good too. only player in the league w/ no drops and 60+ targets if i remember correctly

Ugh, I really think Nagy is the clown here.

Mooney, Montgomery and even Miller looked really good today.

Missing on Mitch then having Nagy develop Mitch is really close to being fireable but Pace really has drafted well in my opinion. You give him Joe Brady - those guys will look a level or two better.

Houston is going to roll through us next week, Watson has pride to play for.

Got the Vikings after that, they're in the playoff hunt - L

After that it's the Jags - they're playing hard - L

Packers after that - lol, L

5-11 and a top 7 pick is realistic

Nope. I said it 4 years ago and it still stands today. The Mitch trade up will make or break Pace's career. And it broke it.

Also, sure he's hit on a few picks, but most of his early rounds picks have been busts. His batting average in rounds 1-3 is pretty bad. Mitch taking the cake. Not only did he take him over 2 better QBs, 1 of which is already an all-time great, but he also traded up when it wasn't necessary. Nobody was trading up to #2 to take Mitch effing Trubisky. Him and Pace's careers are tied together.

And then Pace compounded the problem by trading future draft capital for Foles. He needs to go ASAP

Weve talked about the D wearing out by the end of the season, but it could be happening earlier. Especially when they may feel abused and hopeless.

Lord, reading this thread is like reading the Bulls thread. Everybody hoping that the team continues to lose so that it gets better draft pick and that the executives get fired. I pity you people, I already have one team like that with the Bulls and I would never, ever want another. Thank the Lord I have never had any use for the Bears. I don't think I could stand caring for them.

That draft song is played, and it was never that good to begin with. Pace has incessantly wasted picks trading up for mixed results. And if you do like the record, you can go across most teams in the league and look at a similar drafting record. Nothing to see here. Job is way more than that anyway.

The Bears offense was better than the Bears defense today...and they lost to a bad Lions team. I understand everyone wanting to see heads roll. I've never been into that.

I don't see a burned out defense. I see bad scheming from Pagano. He plays a bend, don't break defense when they should be going after QBs and applying deep pressure. Hicks is out, so what. They have more than enough talent to be top 3 at worst. Pagano wouldn't be good enough to coach a high school defense. He doesn't belong as a DC in the NFL.
