The only problem with this big merged thread is that if some new major report comes out (i.e. like the Ford one from last night) there's no way to separate it from this 15 page thread and really alert people that it's out there.

But I get why it's like this.

That Simmons article is pretty entertaining. He's right about Jordan never quitting on his team. He also, of course, right about the Bulls being the best place for Lebron. The Corleone Brothers routine is fantastic.

Include President Obama as another Chicago Bulls fan rooting for LeBron James to move to Chicago.

"He doesn't want to tamper," senior adviser to the president -- and former Bulls season-ticket holder -- David Axelrod said. "But as a Chicago fan, the president thinks LeBron would look great in a Bulls uniform."

Dude, it's over. We got Com' sense, Obama, and all we need is Oprah and freakin' Mayor Daley to roll out the red carpet.

We can also throw in Kanye, Bill Murray, Vince Vaughn, whoever else we need for the welcoming committee. Nonetheless, it's official; Obama is putting the presidential pressure on LBJ. YES.

That's absolutely awesome.

Just keep Billy Corgan away from this mother. He's bad karma. I still blame him for Bartman.

Our Mods are awesome here, if something deserves to have a separate thread, they will separate it and make one.

Well, even that front is shaping up nicely. See the thread from earlier today about who we're working out this weekend. Good stuff indeed.

Yeah im really stoked that they are working out SGs. but still this Lebron stuff is infinitely more entertaining and making july 1st feel like christmas.

Not sure if it's been discussed a whole lot, but Cliff Levingston thinks that D'Antoni works against them when it comes to the LeBron recruitment effort. He's come out and said he would play LeBron at the 4 which has to set off some alarms. Would LeBron really want to be a 4 full-time forced to match up against bigger guys and inevitably having a true PF as his center? D'Antoni's system (or lack thereof) completely neglects defense and often gets out rebounded which are almost always linchpins of championship winning teams.

Thoughts?

So he'd play Bosh at the 5 if they got both?
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

I don't think that was sarcasm, and anyway the only appropriate and sensible thing for you to say to that post is, "May I please have my pants back, Mr. Finn?"

This. When one has just gotten a verbal pie in the face, it's pretty lame to say "please learn how to make better pastry next time."

yep a verbal pie right on the kissa

That is a good point and I can't imagine Lebron wanting to constantly guard the post, not that they would with the lack of D though.

My only real thought of the whole NY v Chi Lebron thing is. IF and when Lebron signs with the Bulls there must be a camera on Pringles when the news is broke. People think the Draft Lotto video is funny, that ish would be priceless.

Can you honestly say he wouldn't, with a straight face? David Lee played almost 100% of his minutes at center for the Knicks this part year and he's no where near being a "center."

After all, their next best players are Galinari and Chandler. You would need to play LeBron at the 4 and Bosh at the 5 to get them on the floor at the 2 and 3, otherwise you're putting one one the bench. Not saying that's what Cliff Levingston would do, but we all know how D'Antoni works.

OOOONoHeeedinnin...

Only 45 minutes for your comeback. Momma must be so proud.

Must be taking you longer than expected to convince everyone over on the Knicks board that Lebron would prefer Tony Douglas to Drose.

This whole LeBron thing is getting pretty ridiculous. Everyone is just setting themselves up for disappointment just like ...Amare, Pau, Kobe, etc rumors.

So many unnecessary threads.
