Lee's max is only like 12 million right?

I bet we get him. He has the best value that we can't overpay for. Someone else will max Boozer and we won't want to.

I know this isn't true and it's not Deng's fault, but I'm pissed so please disregard the following false statements:

WE HAVE NOW MISSED OUT ON THE FOLLOWING BECAUSE OF LUOL DENG (and/or his contract)!!

- Kevin Garnett
- Kobe Bryant
- Lebron James
- Wade/Bosh (maybe)

AHHHHHHHSLJHLSKGJSLKGJSLKGJ!!!

There's no evidence that we've missed out on any of those players due to Loul Deng. The only player there's even the slightest bit of evidence that we've missed out on is Pau Gasol.

Greenberg speculates that LBJ will not sign with Chicago because Bosh signed with Miami.

AAU Teammate:We're about to add an all-star PF (after years and years of pining for one) and yet everyone's depressed.

Man those expectations got so high. I think we'll embrace this team big time by opening night. Assuming we get one of the two PFs and a real quality 3pt shooter

Definitely.

If you would have told me 6 months ago that we would have Lebron or Wade I would have laughed..

But, a quality PF, backup C and some sharp shooters makes us a long-term threat.

Don't underestimate the improvement left in Rose, Noah and even Deng..

I don't think that holds up to the financial situation which they don't really grasp.

It makes sense.

I hope Lebron never gets a title...

I'm not, I wish we'd kept Gordon instead so we would have had enough for 2 max FA's and had the 3pt shooter that might be the difference in Lebron signing here or not. Lebron + Boozer added to Rose/Gordon/Noah would have been perfect

If Lebron signs with the Knicks I'll never watch another basketball game again. I've been a Bulls fan since 1989, but if Lebron signs with the Knicks then my health will deteriorate and that's not even a joke. I hate the Knicks so much that when they beat the Bulls I get so angry that I do some really messed up things (quit job/dump gf etc).....if they land Lebron I wont be able to handle it...I'll just go get married and have a kid or something so I can focus on important things and not think about this any more.

I've allowed the Bulls to dominate my thoughts and life for over 20 yrs and I can't do that anymore. If Lebron remains in Cleveland then I'll be fine and I wont care what we do. Just as long as he doesnt go to the Knicks...please....please...please...I will ....just no....please FML...im begging

How can anyone say don't do free agency again, when most of you said that our likely outcome was 'striking out.' Even though getting an all-star in his prime, wouldn't be considered that.

Fans should blame management...the most important presentation for the franchise and all they can do is

...bring up Michael Jordan

....lay down the rules for LeBron and his management

cmon...I would have said...Lebron we want you here more then anything....you see that statue of Michael out there...we will tear it down tomrrow if you sign..this is now your house...Michael is the past you are the future...

but no....good old Michale had to be thrown in the dudes face...horrible marketing

It's 25% of BRI, it should probably be starting around 13.5 million. Around 5/78.3 million.

It's like saying we drafted a bad player in the lottery. Never. Ever. Draft. In. The. Lottery. Again.

If we make a bad trade should we Never. Ever. Trade. Again.

You never eliminate a means to improving your team. It didn't work for us (or so it seems), but it easily could have turned us into a dynasty, and we'd be morons not to reach for the stars like that given the same circumstances.

Agreed. Plus LeBron is still out there. With reports that this big announcement day has been in the works for months, it could mean anything. Staying, going, I'm going to wait to give the eulogy on FA until we know, for certain, that Bron isn't becoming Heir Jordan. Otherwise we all end up being hysterical babies, complaining that we didn't get cake for our birthday when cake and icecream are waiting in the kitchen.

The Bulls had great opportunity but so far they EFF'd up. From the beginning, I was saying the Bulls should lock in on Bosh, the diva, and treat him as a #1 like the big 2 FAs. This would either pull Wade back home, or break up CB/Wade having the same agent.

Now the Bulls gave up their mid 1st + money TO CLEAR Kirk's salary. Looking at how much Gay got signed for, Deng actually has positive value. To move Deng for another pick, we take back a bad contract making less (i.e. Garcia). Now we have 3 picks + JJ, Taj to give TOR for a Bosh S&T, which there's no way they pass up on. We sign Bosh, and he gets his 6 years. This forces WADE & LBJ to make their move. Who blinks 1st & runs to CHI? Who goes to NY? Will LBJ stay in CLE? Because there is no way LBJ would team with direct comp. for the league's best when wade already has 1 ring up on him. Bulls would have been in the drivers seat...

Now we have to get Lee/Boozer and pray that LBJ approves and joins us. But a sick feeling I get is we would have known that info by now....

Alright. Close enough to hold the point I think.

If Joe J and Rudy Gay get Max, Boozer is not going to be eager for 13.5 anytime soon.
