Much respect to Jusuf Nurkic.

I always liked Nurkic's game. Old school type C on offense but is pretty mobile on defense. Glad he's come back strong.

Nurkic fits in really well with the Blazers culture. If they can just get one more guy to develop in Simons or Little, they will be dangerous.

Simons is going to have to get significantly better to be playable for them. They got killed in the minutes he played this season. They really need wing defenders who can make an open shot on offense and they'll be fine IMO.

True, but he has the potential along with Little to get better and help them. The rest of their guys are just kind of ok rather than future factors.

I really expect a sweep. Joe Harris, Rodions Kurucs (who?), LeVert and J. Allen were having a field day with the Blazers' defense.

I imagine Lebron, Davis, Green and Kuzma are going to score 5 points per possession.

i havent watched any live sports yet so i was just going off the dame headlines. Thats unfortunate that the blazers wing players are so trash. I expect lebron and ad to put up monster numbers now. With that said Dame has at least 1 best player in the league type game in him, i see it going 5.

Blazers have a strong interior defense. 4th best 2p defense, and 2nd best rim defense in the league. Their 2p defense is essentially the same as the clippers and toronto.

Where they get hurt is the 3 point line. And LAL is a bad 3 point team, they might be the worst in the playoffs. Their top 4 highest volume shooters shoot 34%, 36%, 31%, and 23%.

Any 1v8 seed matchup is a foregone conclusion, but the Blazers are better than a typical 8 seed. Nurkic and Collins were out the entire normal season and Melo was still pretty bad back then. They've been the 2nd best bubble team going 7-2 against tough competition, and the two losses were still close games.

Nothing like playoff basketball.

Nuggs Jazz intense. Love it. All felt right in the world for a couple mins.

It's so awesome to have someone that helped build this Nuggets team as our President of Basketball Operations now. The Bulls completely f***ed up when they didn't take Michael Porter Jr. and Bol Bol.

I can't say much about their interior defense before the bubble because I didn't watch them as much and I haven't looked up what the numbers say, but in the bubble anyone who wanted could get to the rim against them and I have a hard time seeing anyone on their team who could stop LeBron from doing so. Lakers objective in the first quarter is basically to bring Nurkic in foul trouble because if he doesn't play 40 minutes their defense is toast.

Doesn't surprise me that their perimeter defense is so bad, though. Whiteside just can't guard away from the basket (and to make it worse he doesn't even try).

Yeah. For all his talent, I see a few issues with MPJ being out there in his first playoff series. Few times where Jokic asked for the ball coming up the floor and he didn't defer. Also kind of soft and tentative on the defensive end, which I totally understand given his injury history.

But yeah, Mitchell is carving up the Nuggets. Harris/Barton would be big.

Jokic had a good look, but I was surprised Murray didn't want that last shot.

That was phenomenal. If anyone was concerned that the playoff games wouldn't have intensity without the fans, well, they will.

Luwawu is BRK's leading scorer (26pts). So glad the conferences remained a thing for the bubble. Sure beats seeing the Suns.

That said, who would you rather have, Luwawu for $1m or Thad for $15m? Just saying, I was the only person on the Luwawu bandwagon.

TLC asn't great with us but not bad either. The Thad signing was always flawed. The bulls wanted to turn Lauri into a 5 and that's where thad would get minutes
