Why would Houston ever do that deal?

I mean, come on man. Go ahead and disagree with it, but don't act as if you cannot fathom the suggestions.

I wasn't trying to come off like a douche. Sorry if I did.

I just don't know if Wiseman negates the albatross that is Wiggins.

I think Houston can get much better deals.

I briefly saw the score late in that Bucks Warriors game, and the GB has literally 12 threads about the Warriors and Steph. Whoof.

Wish I could tune into the Celts Nets, but cooking duties have commenced. Maybe I'll be able to watch some ball after dinner. Always a bummer that my family couldn't care less about the NBA, and I rarely can sneak away to catch some game.

they're going to be terrible this year without Klay, and with Draymond not the player he used to be.

Oh I agree, but they swept us last year WITHOUT Curry playing!

The Nets look fantastic.

Best team in the East. They have their two stars and have great depth.

Brooklyn is damn deep team, if they remain healthy.. Probably best on the East this year.

Irving, Dinwiddie, Harris, Durant, Jordan
Shamet, LaVert, T.Prince, J.Green, Allen

If the Nets stay healthy, this is about a sure a Finals team as any in the league. I dont think they have any weaknesses.

They have 2 superstars (one little one big)
They have bigs with size (Jordan and Allen)
They have one of the deepest benches in the league led by Caris Levert
They play solid defense.

The only thing I heard people say was they were worried about the mindset of Kyrie and or Durant. But if its not an issue, this team will steamroll the East.

What is to follow isnt an attempt to say you're wrong.

But if the W's lose to us, alarms will be sounding for sure.

I'll go as far and say they should win the championship if Kyrie and Durant tame their diva spirit while everyone stays healthy.

I think the diva narrative is way overblown just bcuz its the mainstream media hot takes.

At every stop former teammates are still on good terms with them (Steph and KD, Kyrie and Smart etc). They may both have “weird” or unconventional personalities, but that in and of itself is grossly represented in a way Id characterize as slander. We dont see the media saying Lebrons a bad teammate for wanting to trade the entire team for AD just 2 seasons ago didnt we?

i'd say that KD is clearly much more hypersensitive than he is a diva

as for kyrie...why did he ask to leave cleveland? why did he leave boston? i think that any reasonable answer to those questions leads to a very fair categorization of diva. though there's some humility as well as evidenced by his apology of sorts to lebron ("harder than i realized to be a leader" or whatever it was)

I dont doubt that KD is sensitive, but so are most of today’s superstars save for Kawhi. Its a byproduct of social media and today’s world.

As for Kyrie, he was and still is disrespected too much for the heavy lifting he did as a Cav. Also knowing how Lebron jumps ship once every 4 years, I think it was absolutely the right decision to leave Lebron before Lebron could ditch him.

In Boston, the Celtics’s timeline was at a crossroads. You had young players who wanted more shine, and in particular Terry Rozier was apparently the real locker toom issue catalyst. Kyrie with his unconventional personality and flat earth comments was just low hanging fruit. Combine that with how Bron fans love to hate on Kyrie to prop up Lbj then its no surprise to see what Kyrie can do when motivated and healthy.

I hope for Luka's sake that it was mostly due to the pandemic but it's worrisome when your 21 year old MVP-favorite shows up looking like he was on the Eddy Curry off-season diet plan. If he's struggling with weight now then his 30's aren't going to be pretty.

He will drop it and hopefully it is something he learns from.

My kid and I looked at each other when the game started said "WTF?" Zion is fat too. That's the sort of thing you can get away with at a very young age, but for the sake of both their career and their teams, they had better start getting serious about nutrition and fitness pretty soon.

Nets/Lakers will be a good matchup. Lakers got 22 pts. from Montrezl Harrell tonight. He gives them another big body that will do all the dirty work, and will benefit from all the attention Lebron and Davis draw. What a great pick up. I don't know why other teams continue to let teams that are already great, pick up solid players like that on a bargain. That's something I really don't like about the nba- the elite teams always seem to get a steep discount in picking up free agents because of their star power.

Anyway, I hope the Nets can give them a fight.
