Offense is playing well, they're scheming some great plays against a lousy defense, and Caleb is making the vast majority of the throws. Great execution all around.

Defense really hasn't been very good. A couple lucky breaks on the interception (on a ball that just bounces off the receivers hands for no reason) and fumble recovery after that huge run have made it look a lot more stable when the Cowboys have been moving the ball at will.

Since this is a Bulls thread, Caleb's performance reminiscent of Giddey's play post ASG. It was great, but is it real?

The extremely rare fun, easy breezy Bears W.

That was very enjoyable.

Unless they start utilizing Burden. Then, we are in the Superbowl

we may have been a bit harsh on the defense considering we are down our three best corners, but the DL is still performing at an extremely dissapointing level. Our run defense shouldn't be this bad. I think maybe billings needs to be instereted as a starter. But still, only allowing 14 points (so far) is pretty good against this offense.

Williams is having what i consider his best game. back to back weeks were he's not frantic in the pocket. still a couple easy misses but overall, no big deal. and he's running this offense to near perfection today.
I was thinking the same thing about Billings. Our D Line has been bad at getting pressure on the QB and stopping the run. Inserting Billings at starting DT is worth a try. Im not sure if Grady or Dexter are capable of playing DE opposite of Sweat but that may be an option too.

Dennis Allen's scheme of showing blitz all game scares Dak into checking down to his TE 50 times. That and the LB's and secondary playing well. QB's with more poise than Dak will continue to look like 4th qtr McCarthy and week 2 Goff. Our defensive line has to play better period.

On a positive note though. Caleb, the O Line and pass catchers all played really well. We have a chance to win every week if today's game becomes the standard.

Burden looks like he might be ready alongside Rome & Zaccheaus if there's a good package for DJ out there.

Burden is a born impact receiver. DJ is pretty much in the way of a better player. It would be a surprise if DJ was traded if the Bears keep in the hunt however

Heading into the game, Dallas was 3rd in yards per play and 5th in points per game, and we have a bunch of injuries on defense, including our best defensive player.

I’m not going to be too harsh on the defense, just like how I’m not going to be too high on the offense, when they’re going up against a terrible pass defense. Still, quality win all around, and the only other loss the Cowboys have this year is to the Eagles, by 4 points, though Jalen Carter got suspended in that game.

Caleb should have his season stats close to where they needed to be in the league rankings to keep hope alive.

I can't see how they keep him another season, let alone think about a contract extension. It just boggles my mind how bad he's gotten after a couple of good initial years since we drafted him. He started to go downhill last year and this year he has absolutely crapped the bed. I don't know if there is currently a worse CB in the entire league. I can't explain why he's gotten this bad. Does he have some un-announced nagging injuries or is his head just messed up? We are seeing a lot of guys regressing but Stevenson has been the worst example.

he had a really good latter half to his rookie year where he was opportunistic like today. it was the primary reason the D improved so much after the sweat acquisition. he has otherwise been crap, earning the nickname 'toast'

JJ isn't a surprise, but Kiran is looking like a super bust.

an OT at his draft position has roughly a 25-30% chance of becoming a starter, so i'm not sure he's even eligible for "super bust"

There were several good players drafted after KA which made him a reach as an injured Yale player. Poles again did what he wanted against better advice. That’s what arrogant executives do.

There's almost "several good players drafted after (fill in the blank)". Seems like an unnecessary shot to call that arrogance.

That play was possibly a 14 point swing and really changed the nature of the game. And beyond that, I don't think he gave up more 1-2 completions all game.

We need a back like Dallas has- a big bruiser who can get you 5 yards out of nothing. Swift would be a good complement to that.

disagree in this case. the only higher rated prospect drafted after kiran was michigan WR roman wilson, who has barely played due to injury. and it's certainly ok to take a swing there. i'd have taken the swing on wilson and never traded for keenan, but whatever

Coach knows what’s up.

We knew it would take some time to mesh and gel. The key is we have a winner. Playing not to lose Eberflus is in the rear view mirror.

Coach is a winner. He’s going to build a winner. Will take some time but he has what it takes.

Since they hired Johnson, I've been waiting for and making jokes about a flea flicker. They finally threw one and it's the NFL highlight of the season so far. I couldn't believe Caleb threw it that far. I think there's a lot of reason to be optimistic about this W.

Since this is also the JJ McCarthy thread, notably the Vikings scored 48 points without him playing. I'm a big Jayden Daniels homer and Washington scored 41 points without him.

But Caleb was so good today. Credit given where credit is due. 0 sacks, 0 ints. He's finally showing some real promise. Through 3 games, he is statistically a top 10 QB. Arguably better.
