That would so amazing but seems like a pipe dream IMO given that Memphis is actively shopping the pick it will take more than that.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

So its obvious MEM is shopping that #4 with Parsons and are hoping teams trip over themselves to make a deal happen. We should due our due diligence but cant be frantic.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Honestly that's probably the smartest thing they could do at this point unless they get some sort of signal from LeBron to do otherwise. If they were going to trade that pick for a more established player should've done it before the last trade deadline.

Yep the last thing the Bulls need is to get into a bidding war.

I saw that and there was an ESPN show that had them taking Carter at #7 and Chandler Hutchison at #22 as they bit on the rumor. Mikal Bridges going at #10 to PHIL.

To me, some sound reasoning on the ESPN choices
Carter fits that he's from Duke and Hutchison is a 4 year player. I still have trouble seeing how Young fits with Dunn and how he plays next to Lavine. Going back if they had a backup 2 guard like Thabo Sefelosha who was a defensive standout coming off the bench with Young that would work great but they don't.

That’s my dream scenario as mentioned earlier .

Gotta believe future pick has to be unprotected though . Also why wouldn’t they ask for Portis?

Otherwise makes sense we ain’t getting anybody in free agency so use the dead money to draft high .

Rebuild is basically done now see how these potential young studs develop

Wouldn't memphis prefer this year's #9 from New York over a future top-10 restricted pick? I wouldn't put it past New York to trade Porzingis either. I also think Dallas goes for Porter if Doncic and Bamba are off the board in that scenario.

Well, the owner will always win that battle, so I think we see Doncic in Sacramento.

If the Bulls do a deal with Memphis, there is no holding onto that #7 pick. It would make no sense from Memphis' POV to have go back to their fans and explain how they just gave up the #4 pick in the draft to salary dump Chandler Parsons. I don't care what kind of future pick is offered, future picks without certainty of where they'll end up are not as valuable as current picks.

I want us to get the #14 or 15-to use with Portis/Holiday to get the #4/Parsons and keep the #7

Imagine adding Bamba and Bridges tomorrow-set for years

If this was a different era of the NBA i'd be all over Bamba. However, his game doesn't overly impress me. If he dropped to 7 is one thing but to trade up for his services is not something i'd endorse.

If we are going to pry away a top 4 pick, it's going to be the 7 and the 22 and that is just starting off. You'll probably have to throw in a body as well.

Agreed. I believe if we want #4, we have to give up #7 and take on Parsons' contract as a starting point. Knowing the Bulls, they would likely throw in a 2nd or three.

I'm assuming that that almost any team trading with Memphis and taking on Parsons will be sending some salary back, including Chicago. I'm not going to go research every possible trade but Memphis has to know teams aren't going to be taking on Chandler without some reciprocal salary relief.
