Luka would be a great fit here, but I wonder what happens with Dunn in that scenario. LaVine can play off ball because he is good shooter, but Dunn really needs to run the show unless he develops into decent spot up shooter. Wouldn't stop me from drafting the BPA though.

You take the ball out of Lavine's hands and force him to play the role he'll succeed in as an off-the ball shooter/slasher. I see them work out similarly to how Parker/Ginobli paired up.

Or the Bulls will just pick Wendell Carter Jr.

My guess is the most likely outcome if no trade up happens

Guys, let's be real here.
Yes, I'd love to get Doncic here and would be willing to trade everything not named Markannen for him.
Having said that, he's kind of a pipe dream, and I don't believe for a second that Atlanta or Memphis would be willing to trade their pick if he's avaliable.
So, unless someone finds our maximum offer (something like 7, 22, Portis, Valentine and even another future first) the best one they can get, the sooner he's off the board, the better for our chances of moving up.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

If we trade up to 3 and draft Bamba over Doncic I’m going to be a sad, sad panda.

I'm talking how would Dunn thrive if Doncic was the primary ballhandler. We aren't getting Doncic thought so it's pointless speculation.

Is it just me or is Kevin “F-“ O’Connor contractually obligated to say Boston is involved in any trade rumor

yeah. i like bamba a lot at 7, but i'm iffy on trading up for him at all, let alone when we're also bidding against teams that value doncic highly

I really doubt that can happen...Ivica Dukan our international scout has a partial GM title and was called by Paxson one of the "high level decision makers" in the organization, he'd surely demand we take Doncic. Gar spent a ton of time over in Europe scouting Doncic as well.

Just this last year, we had a deal in place for Milos Teodosic who is in his 30s. If we're bringing over guys like Teodosic, Asik, Mirotic...how could we pass on Doncic.

If we could get Doncic, I could care less what happens to Dunn. Let both of them compete to see who is more effective being primary ball handler, or see if they can share. My guess is Doncic would be the guy, but Dunn can still be very valuable in secondary role and as our best defensive guard. Or Dunn can run offense when Doncic is out. Nice problem to have.

Bamba is Tyson Chandler all over again in terms of potential. We will need to be very patient with him.

People are already whining about picks and trades that aren't even real.

Good times!

It is odd or perhaps telling if Vlade does not prefer Doncic. YOu'd think with his Balkan connections he would have a very good intel on Doncic going back years. If he prefers Bagley, it makes me wonder, unless it is just that he wants to do a good turn to a fellow Eastern European and spare him starting his career in SAC.

Yeah you need multiple creators on offense. I just wonder what Dunn can without ball in his hands.

Is there such a thing as a large minority?

I would be pretty shocked if Wendell Carter isn't a Bull tomorrow. It's just so Garpax.

I think there's more than enough possessions for Dunn and Doncic to share that responsibility. Lavine was the primary ball handler for a significant number of possessions last season, you take those away from him. The movement towards fielding 3 wings is the most pronounced change in the modern nba, but the trend towards two ball dominant creators is equally prevalent.

Same as he did last year at times -- space the floor and hit assisted 3s.
