Jabari Parker on a 1 year deal or a 1+1 deal would be interesting. If he could do similar to Eric Gordon in staying healthy and a long battle with injuries, it could help push his value back up.

I'd go after Tyreke Evans or Jabari Parker with a large 1 year deal. It could help make a run at the playoffs with our young guys.

Two questions.

1) Why go after Jabari Parker given our front court has Markkanen/Lopez/Portis/Carter?
2) Why push for the playoffs? If we get there with our young players then great but otherwise it doesn't help.

Would Tyler Ulis be an upgrade over Payne or Grant? He seems fun to watch.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Tyler Ulis as they work to maximize their salary cap space.

Ulis averaged 7.8 points and 4.4 assists over two seasons with the Suns.

Yes, he's telling people to be quiet and don't wake GarPax as they're already sleeping for the night.

Hopefully it’s a 2 week hibernation.

I don’t want them signing anyone that isn’t already on the roster. Leftover scraps on one year deals, please.

also, why is every team in the league active on the first day but us. Do we always follow rather than lead? waiting for the leftovers?

Do you really think Bulls should start competing now. And not every team is active those who are trying to take the next step are.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Besides that, I'd say 90%+ of the work is done behind the scenes. You only see that last 10% when a player signs.

Too bad Nick Stauskas is signed already. People on this board/forum were pretty interested in acquiring Stauskas. All right, let's sign Nwaba, Lavine, and possibly Rodney Hood already.

The Bulls were leading when they signed Felicio...

I see this silence as a good sign. The Bulls should only sign value contracts, or short ones. This is not the offseason to go all guns blazing to the FA-market.

I really think the Bulls are going to wait on the Lakers to see if they can pry one of those young assets which is either a pick or a player with Deng. Parker doesn't make sense to me, he is a power forward.

Also not sure how Minn feels about trading Wiggins. I think I would take a flier on that contract and I think he would fit in nicely with the Bulls. It sounds goofy but Wiggins would be a great piece next to Laurie...he can rebound and provide athleticism next to Laurie and can switch pretty easily.

The Bulls are in such fantastic shape for NEXT year it isn't funny. They have 40m worth of contracts coming off the books with WCJ, Lauri, Denzel and Dunn still on their rookie deals.

The Bulls just need to not screw this up. If they can manage to S&T portis and lavine for picks and miss the playoffs, they could go into next year with 4 or 5 lottery picks on the roster and the ability to add two max contracts. I'll give GarPax credit, they are turning this around quick. All signs point to a big pop up in 2019.

They just need to not screw up in FA this summer by giving out big money to mediocre players.

Play Jabari at the 3. Making the playoffs would be a great look for free agents next season.

There was not a single deal last night where I thought, The Bulls should have offer more to that guy!” Nice to see them being patient.

I'd like to keep Portis and Lavine. We need to upgrade Grant and Payne. And we need to upgrade Felicio and Asik.
And we need to trade Lopez and Holiday. We have two picks next year. If we can trade Lopez and Holiday for 2nd rounders,
we'll have four picks next year. Slowly but surely, we are improving. let's just hope for a healthy season with few injuries.
Hoiberg is pretty good about resting players.

There would have to be a young asset(Ferguson) or future 1st round pick involved. Unfortunately OKC owes one to Orlando in 2020 (top 20 protected) According to the Stephen rule, OKC would have to trade their 2022 1st then.

Which is fine. Nothing wrong with a future asset. The biggest thing is to open up that space for 2019. Which is all the more important with Durant doing another 1 and 1. And we can make it work too.

Stretch Asik
Renoncunce Vonleh,Nwaba and Archi
Sign Lavine for less than 18M per.

I'd like us to resign Nwaba and Vonleh. Archi could be our two way player again.

In this case, it's a good thing.

We should wait for this first flurry to calm down.

The issue is who are we going to sign in that window?

Are we going to be Dallas and pay huge money for a fringe star?

1 or 2 year 'prove yourself' deals never benefit non playoff teams. If they exceed expectations, you have to go and pay them a lot more or let them walk, and meanwhile it makes your picks worse.

I'm with duck and fish, I hink standing pat is wise for cap purposes, and if we are signing guys we should wait til the market dries up and try to get some bargains.

Those that think that way woll te me saying this though, and that's that Jabari is tempting me if you can get him for at least 3 years and on a reasonably affordable deal.

He's a real chance at some more star power if you're cynical about landing big fish in FA.
