Agreed. Watching GSW vs Nets and if either or both get their players back (well Klay will be back but what Klay) we still need more to compete. At best still a dark horse imho but getting more convincing everyday. You kniw earnjng it the old fashioned way instead of being anointed. I’ll take the doubt. Let’s just keep proving it.

Question is, who do we get at the 4? I'd love to get a solid starting 4 to pair with Vooch and slide Pat to the bench.
Domantas Sabonis
Jerami Grant
Miles Bridges

We'd have to give up a lot for Grant or Sabonis, Miles Bridges is up for grabs though, assuming Charlette doesn't toss him the bag.

Miles & Grant are both Small Forwards, smallballing at the 4. We do that already. I'd like to get an actual PF, which means someone who can just as easily play the Center position without compromise. Miles & Jerami never play the 5.

I'm looking more at a Christian Wood type player.

Good point, Christian Wood I like as well, Harrison Barnes would also be a nice piece.

Lauri shooting 28%, but with .9 blocks vs. .7 from Carter. Stats are funny!

Young players can develop, not much more to it. Too much rush to judgement in the first 2-3 years. Gives me some hope for Pat, a small amount. WCJ wants it so bad he may have got in his own way at times. Having a motor, plus tools probably means a player will progress. Pat, mystery how bad he wants it. Pat has good character in that he works hard, but may not have the heart of a barbarian which is what he needs as much if not more.

Yep. The Lakers had Randle, didn't care much for him, then ditto the Pelicans. Now the Knicks get the benefit. The Lakers had Russell, moved him. I don't think that much of Russell but he did make an All Star game. The Lakers had Ball, didn't care much for him, then ditto the Pelicans. Now the Bulls get the benefit. The Lakers had Ingram, didn't think all that much of him, now the Pelicans get the benefit (even though Ingram is overrated, he is still a good player).

Honestly, I mainly care about draft picks as assets, not as ballplayers. Even the good ones mostly suck during their rookie contracts. I don't want to play those guys. I couldn't be bothered, for example, about getting Pat minutes. If he ever becomes outright good, it will probably be for another team. I just want a team on the court that wins games. Like this year's group. I love 'em all.

Lakers just cut Sekou Doumbouya. 6’8” with almost 7 foot wingspan, still only 21. Worth a look over Matt Thomas IMO

Bulls worked him out two years ago as a trade down option from the #4 pick. Just saying…

My god man Thibs' hair is absolutely horrifying. Somehow the slicked back look is even worse.

Happy he doing well in Orlando. Just stay out of my franchise. I never wanna see him close to Bulls uniform again. Even for Halloween. Hope you reading this WCJ along my signature.

Giannis with 28 points on 12-13 FG in 16 minutes of play vs the Lakers. Bucks up 11 at half.

Portis with 17.

That Giannis guy has some potential. Might want to keep an eye on him. Might turn into something one of these days.

The Lakers being bad while THT is looking awesome is perfect for my agendas.

what is that agenda? I do think LAL was smart for locking him up, likely their only smart move this offseason. Does he still look good after LBJ is back? don't know but he is a solid player for sure and like most of LA he will look better not playing with LeBron.

I said the Lakers are not unlikely to be a play-in team before the season and have always been a huge THT fan. He won't put up the same numbers with LeBron back, sure, but having a guy who can create offense for their bench units and give LeBron at least some time to rest would be big for the Lakers.

The Top 5 Players in PER this season -

1) The defending MVP
2) The previous 2 years' MVP
3) A guy who hasn't made 2 of the past 3 All Star games
4) A guy who has never made an All Star game, and who is an unexpected star this year for an unexpected team
5) A two-time MVP

Partial credit to those who can identify one of players #3 and #4, and badass credit to thsoe who can name both.

Spoiler:
3) Jimmy Butler
4) Montrezl Harrell

Return to Chicago Bulls
