has he said he straight up wont' play for them?
That's the word and what turned off the organization. Hence all the Bagley rumors.

NBA Draft 2018 6.0: Lucky #7 and 22.

The thought of Luka on the Kings makes me sad. I don’t know how many of you have spent time in Sacramento, but I can’t think of a more depressing city for a young star from Madrid* to spend the next 8 years of his playing career.

*Yes, I know he’s not from Madrid originally.

I wonder if these rumors about trying to get to #3 with Atlanta are about getting in position to take Bagley or Bamba, assuming Luka goes #2. I'm not convinced that Sactown doesn't take Luka

Because it means you'll hardly ever hear his name, or his play because he is playing for the Kings.

Don't you worry, if they do draft him, they'll likely trade him within a year, or he'll force a trade out of there.
Why so serious?

Or he could make them watchable and make the Kings relevant lol

I don't see how Vlade doesn't take him. Should be the easiest choice ever.

Wonder if we can grab 14 for 22 by taking Faried. I wouldn't mind a shot at Kevin Knox, Miles Bridges or Lonnie Walker at 14. I think all 3 have nice upside for late lottery

I have spent a ton of time in Sacramento. Its not that bad of a city. Great theater/arts town. San Francisco is not too far and Lake Tahoe is also close. Its not that bad. I can think of worse towns.

I still believe Bagley is the big target. If Doncic goes #2 watch out.

I hope we're actually aggressive and get our guy(s) and not just whoever is left over.
I'm not here to argue.

I still feel like we'll stick at 7, it'll between Young and Carter, and we'll go Carter and Hutchinson, like others have guessed. A nice ho-hum draft, leaving us some rotation guys and the hope we get something exciting next June.

it might make sense from a relative value standpoint at least if the price is much lower to grab Bagley than Luka.

We need a flow chart really of how things shakeout based on the first 2 picks for Chicago as far as teams that would less likely to move up or more.

Like how many teams are just gonna say **** if Luka is off at 2? Maybe Chicago can then, as a "well leveraged" club, move up for another top target while paying less on the dollar.

This is the trade I would like to due. Could be a possibility of both Bridges available at 14

If we trade up, I agree, its for Bagley. It feels like we have a 50/50 shot at Bamba and we like WCJ so I'm not sure why we'd do it for Bamba. We'll know in 20 hours.

You’re talking about that regular bloke life. Sacramento’s fine for that. But for a young millionaire who’s used to international stardom, I’d say it’s a bottom 5 NBA city.
