It feels weird whenever I'm reading a thread and see someone using Tommy's avatar. I get a little excited to read what he has to say then I remember the truth. Not criticizing people for using it, just expressing how much I enjoyed reading what he had to say.

So I totally missed this thread. I had no idea he was even sick or having health problems. Great poster and I read just a bit but seems like a really good guy. Sad way to start the season.

I can't believe he is gone and with the season about to start it just seems bizarre. RIP. Life is too short for too many people.

Ben wrote:Some of you may want to know more information about George's forthcoming obit, the upcoming ceremony, and means of leaving memories or a memorial. The following info comes indirectly from George's brother, and is relayed by one of George's friends with whom he did a lot of volunteer work:

http://main.acsevents.org/goto/george.zieman

George's birthday would have been September 14. He would have been 62. There will be an obituary in Sunday's (September 16th) Chicago Tribune. There will be a viewing/wake at the Ewald-Barlock Funeral Home (http://www.ewaldbarlockfuneralhome.com/) in Chicago on Monday (September 17th), 3-8 PM.
Ewald-Barlock:
2501 N. Southport
Chicago, IL 60614
(773) 549-0098

The funeral/burial will be on Tuesday morning (September 18th) at St. Hilary's: 5600 North Fairfield Avenue,
Chicago, IL 60659.

Apparently the funeral home will soon have a web page where comments can be left honoring George.

The link above also tells how to make a charitable contribution (of any size), in honor of George, to an organization for which he spent many hours volunteering. That's for any who feel moved in that way. Some people may even want to attend the viewing in person. Whatever seems right.

I hope this is okay, I needed to find the contribution thing again and am bumping it as it was many pages back and people may not know it's there. As Ben said Tommy volunteered for the top link you can donate (again any amount as Ben said).

Also I think Ben mentioned that he was the one that suggested he add '6' after TommyUdo, which I liked as he was bulls6 for so long. There was a post a few days ago and there was a question and I started to type, good question, maybe Sham or Tommy knows. RIP bulls6/tommy/george :( :( :(

While I am not bumping this thread specifically, it has taken me awhile to reflect on this.

Like that majority of you I never met George. However, like all of you we knew Bull6/TommyU.

When I first started reading Bulls6's posts I knew very quickly that he was someone that I was going to follow for educated Chicago Bulls info. Like many of you, I consider myself a very big fan of the game and find it extremely hard to find other people who I can have a detailed conversation with. Bulls6/Tommy was one of these people.

Going through the start of this season his absence on this site is being felt. I really hope his family has read and understands how his love for the Bulls and the NBA have touched lives all around the globe.

You're certainly being missed, George. I promise to toast in your name when I see our Bulls raise another championship banner.

Tommy aka Bulls6 probably knew the most about the Bulls cap situation / Bulls in general. he was a great poster and a great guy as well.

Would have been so much fun to hear his thoughts on the Bulls potentially dumping Nate just to get under the LT. If there was anyone who was the whiz on that topic, it was TU6. The words "Larry Coon" meant nothing to me until he brought it up.

Funk would be up there just bad mouthing Satan for all of eternity and confusing Jesus with St. Peter. 8-) Miss ya, Tommy. Your Warriors are looking good too.
